Are all TC roofs this thin?

I knew it was thin, but Very alarming when you see for yourself how thin the roof actually is. Northwood doesn't show 150 people on top of a wolf creek. I guess it holds my weight okay. I was wondering if adventurer, northstar and Lance, etc have similar designs.

Your shingles generally also have a layer of roofing felt underneath and both nailed to roofing grade plywood/chip board for support.

So does your TC roof. No roofing felt but 'luan' or plywood under. I liked my old Lance with the one piece aluminum sheet roof.

None I've ever seen have 2" thick sidewalls. That's excessively thick for a sidewall.

News to me. Maybe 1" thick.

Our roof is 1/2" marine plywood (7 ply) with 0.040 aluminum sheet over that and 1/8" of truck bed liner over that.

Still pretty thin when you think about it though?

I think my roof is thicker, but I haven't measured it.

I tore the rubber roof on my 2013 Wolf Creek and the insurance company covered the repair. My RV guy added 3/8" plywood over the original plywood, so it is now very solid, although I had been on it before and never noticed any give to it. Very happy with our Wolf Creek.

Most campers are 2in thick on the roof and sidewalls Lance has always had thinner walls and roofs.I think when they had the metal roof it was 2in thick but there sidewalls were thinner than they are today. Its still considered a 2000ib roof must be in the design because I walk all over mine and there is no give.

And theres your price difference between a wc and af. Ours are definetly not a true 4 season camper

My wife says the whole ceiling bows quite a bit when I'm up there. Granted, I weigh 250. I try to limit my time on the roof, So I send my wife. Lol

Yea, that is about right. Crazy isn't it? And to think I have never heard of anyone falling through the roof doing normal repairs and cleaning, unless it was rotten.

Just to get a little more headroom in my shower, I removed the inner sunlight plexi dome. I can say on my Eagle Cap it is much thicker. Now, I'm not implying mine is great, but...
Mine is a sandwich of 1/4" plywood, then 1 1/2" foam, then another sheet of 1/4" plywood.
