After a 4 year hiatus, I'm back with a truck camper. I've had some changes in my life with my wife passing away nearly 2 years ago. Also moved from Indiana to Oregon this summer but will continue to winter in Florida.
I bought a 2018 Ram 3500 diesel SRW short bed and put a 2019 Wolf Creek 840 on it. Everything is working out fine as to the weight loads. Only thing is that the COG paper shows the recommended zone extending behind the rear axle. In fact the COG of the 840 is 3 inches behind the rear axle. My scale weights so far shows no weight taken from the steer axle, in fact 120 lbs was added to the front. I'm beginning to think the wrong paper was put in the glove box.
Any how, it's good to be back and I've got that rambling fever.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your wife but glad to hear you are adjusting. Your new combo sounds like it'll be a nimble rig. If you ramble through middle TN give us a shout 🙂
Condolences to you on your wife's passing. Welcome back to the TC crowd. Enjoy your travels!
