Yes, Jayco does have a 2 year warranty, however have not been able to talk to anyone except the person that answers the phone (who by the way would not provide her name or anything else for follow up.)

Any idea who to call at Jayco for warranty work on a Starcraft TT? The dealer in our case is not helping the issue.

๐Ÿ™‚ Hi, Airstream has a two year warranty, but individual warranties are sometimes much better like with Fantastic Vent. We were still working when we bought our trailer so it only got used for about one month per year during the warranty period. This makes for a great warranty for the manufacturer. Un-like a car or truck that can and will be used daily, you get your money's worth on those warranties, if needed.

That's generally true as some "non-purchase" dealers put up barriers (long wait times) in front of doing warranty work for trailers they didn't sell.

Jayco has a 2-year warranty. They'll also actually talk to you and send you parts. Keystone will not send parts and the conversation will steer you to a dealer.

Grand Design seems to have turned around - I've read about them straightening out dealers that incur big service times for non-purchase RVs. They seem to also be willing to discuss non-dealer service. Their full warranty is 1 year, with structural going out to 3 years. Full direct factory support.

When you shop for a dealer - shop the reputation of the service department. It's actually more important than the reputation of the sales guys..

Agree - Keystone you've got 12 months. Not a-typical to spend 30-90 days for a given repairs between getting into a dealer, getting it factory approved, shipping parts, and getting it done. That's a VERY limited warranty...

Jayco has a 2 year warranty. I had a couple of problems that were taken care of with no hassles. I was pleased.

OutdoorRVs offers a 1,2,3 year warranty.
1 yr bumper to bumper
2 year body
3 year frame.
JMO but I'd take any kind of 2+ year warranty a mfg offers. It's better than nothing.
Example. My Northwood Fox Mountain along with Arctic Fox and SOBs have had fading cap issues. The dark brown and dark grey ones in particular. The brands that have the two year warranty have for the most part been fixing those front caps. The brands with just 1 yr warranty are SOL.
I've been reading SOB forums and have read of many owners getting work done in their 2nd year of the warranty. And not just fading caps. There's just too much poor quality work being done on these at the time of production that it's just cheap insurance.
I used to not care about any warranties past one year till my faded cap issue cropped up. I would much rather have to fight a little to get something repaired than to have to just shell out the money.
I won't buy another RV without a min of a 2 yr warranty.

Jayco now owns Open Range, and they both have always included a 2 year warranty. My OR was purchased before the Jayco acquisition, and I had no problems having my warranty honored!

In our case they refused but we found an aggressive attorney and even the dealer helped and we settled for a cash amount. I won't use the dealer again and will never go thru Jayco.

Lance Campers (including travel trailers) have a Limited 2 Year Structural Warranty over and above their regular 1 year warranty. Here's the certificate:

If you want to read the fine print, here's the link:

Lance Camper Warranty

Agree with others that the warranty is only as good as the dealer. The dealer we bought our Lance 1685 from wouldn't respond when it was time for some warranty work - even though we wanted him to add solar and some other paid work. We located another dealer - Middleton RV in Festus, Missouri - who performed the warranty work (and was happy to add the solar). Since the Lance factory is in California, we were happy to have Middleton RV step up and handle everything.
Cheers! Jan & David

My take: Warranty length is not anywhere near important as factory support.

My Jayco had a 2 year warranty. The factory took so long to approve anything and send parts, it almost didn't matter. Plus it had some major body structural issues too and sat at the dealer for 8 out of the first 12 months. Upside, it was nice keeping the drive clear:). But it became such a hassle, I ended up just doing repairs myself, including rebuilding the sub-floor when the fresh water tank dropped out taking some of the floor joists with it.

My weekend warrior had good warranty terms as well. The problem I ran into was a limited dealer network away from the west coast. They paid for for mobile service for small repairs, but when i had major frame failure start (cracking) I had to go back to Oregon from NC, and it didn't make it. Insurance covered that one luckily, because a few months later they had to recall all their trailer frames and shortly there after went bankrupt.

Current trailer is an Outdoors RV. Bumper to bumper warranty is only a year, but the body structure is 2 years, and the chassis is 3 years. They have been great! Dealer visits rarely took more than a few days because they would approve repairs quickly and send parts on the next trailer being shipped out. I had some Schwintek slideout drive problem, which the dealer was unable to repair because it required R&R of the slide room, ORV sent a drive to pick up the trailer from my driver and take it back to the factory!
