Bought a truck on Black Friday sale

went to order HD F150.
available only with 8 ft bed and long wheelbase.
earliest I could expect it would be April.
full price,maybe $1000 rebate.

So I go out in the lot and there is this 2015 Scab 63/4 ft bed
4wd,elect locker,power equip group,skid plates,shift on fly,upgrade seat,cruise,steering wheel controls,snow plow pack,trailer brake pack .
Drove it home for 34k after sale rebates.
DW isn't crazy about color, white but ordered Sirius, tie downs, and step running boards from Amazon.
in stalled the scan guage so I could have digital readouts on the
water temp,trans temp and voltage.
Two things that I noticed was truck water is 195 and trans is also 190
From Phoenix to Casa Grand got 17 mpg @65Mph
on the trip up got 16.3 with the F150.
The F150 was a great truck,I had it for 9 years.
Not as exciting as an Eco boost,or Eco diesel but works for me.
Will get pics as soon as it stops raining.
yes it rains in Arizona:B
Not a good pic
Going to break in the truck the rifgt way,Going 4 wheeling with some friends on the Bradshaw trail which was a stagecoach road from Indio to Ehrenberg in the 1860s.Am taking the tent because last time I 4 wheeled with camper I broke a window and shook up the stuff in the camper.

had 560 miles on truck when we started trail
4wd and electric locker worked great even with small tires
the TPMS sucks.let out a some air fot the sand and and every time you start the low pressure msg comes on.I wish I could delet it!
Hey I'm 4 wheeling in sand,I know I have low pressure,I just spent 15 minutes letting air out of the tires

Thanks for reply, last year at Anza Borrego I aired down to 25lbs on washboard sandy trial to split mountain.
I then aired them back up before getting on the hiway.
on the 10 ply, empty whats safe to air them down.I was thinking 25-30 lbs but the guy at discount said never go below 50%,so no lower than 40 lbs.I run 80 with camper,60 empty.

Thanks for reply..I was under the truck to see the best way to run the 7 pin connector cable and saw the massive 2 mufflers. Why 2 and why so massive. And no one was not the cat converter:h

Yep, you could call it two mufflers front and rear. Actually the rear one is a "Resonator".

Nice truck! I might have missed it, but 6.2 gasser? How do you like it? Nice looking truck, I love white trucks. The only problem is that its not a crew cab... I've got a 2 year old a 9 month pregnant wife. The supercab isn't enough.

Yes it is a plain jane white 6.2
Wanted short bed to fit in garage
Thanks for pointing this out I fixed sig li:)ne

NICE TV!
Personally I sought out white when I picked up my new-2-Me 2013, I think it looks sharp.
Oh, and we made your exhaust system where I work. Manifolds to tailpipe. Coils of stainless steel rolled into pipe, bent, muffler resonator and cat assembled and welded together all at one Plant. You simply would not believe the amount of engineering and quality control that went into it. Should last you a lifetime!

Had that identical truck except long bed. You have a solid bulletproof truck there. Mileage seems real optimistic though. Never got more than 13+ hwy and 11-12mpg commuting mostly hi way.
The E locker is the best !
Ouch and keep them straps off the paint! Haha

Time will tell,For the first 1000 miles will drive at 65,1800 Rpm, on hiway. Then I will put on the camper, about 1700lbs wet.The wifes Explorer mpg guage is very accurate,so I think Im pretty close.I get 12.5 to 13 around town. All these readings are empty.
