Hi, looking to buy first travel trailer and due to weight limitations, we are look for lightweight trailers in the 23' - 26' range. We want minimal problems and good resale value. Can you recommend brands/models to consider and/or avoid? Thanks!

We like our Premier Bullet and there is also the Bullet line that is good. The investment is in family and not the trailer.

I agree with most of the above comments -- don't even consider the resale issue. Anyway, check out the Fun Finder series -- lightweight, sturdy, well-insulated. I have owned two.

2013 Toyota Tacoma Off-Road (semi-beefy tires and components)

No such thing as good resale value...they aren't always easy to sell at all and often you need to take what you can get...

You need to get a list and then go visit dealers etc. Walk in them, sit down...take your time. You will eventually find the one you really like. We did....used to almost new. Good luck and welcome to the forum...

Agree with above post: Resale and RV, it's a 100% "investment" loss!

Here's a web site that will blow your socks off. You can search for months with this one. But this is the better all inclusive lists of RV manufacturers I've come across.

Once you find a brand that interests you, then you find a model that interests you, search out that brand forum. There's a forum for everything. Of course this forum isn't too shabby either.

Have fun. Sorry, I cannot give you an unbiased opinion. I like the camper in my signature line.

Look at Evergreen + Lance. You will get a variety of opinions...Had a Jayco and it was NOT quality!

Your best info on this topis can be found reading the archives. Almost all RV's have problems. Howare they dealt with by the manufacturer? I am currently saving for a new trailer but honestly I am concerned at how many folks have serious quality issues with new RV's. IMHO Airstream or perhaps Lance are the two best . They are both out of my dollar range however.

I don't know if 'minimal problems' and good resale value fit with a light, cheap trailer.
