Sorry guys but I have to share the deal that I just got on new toyo 608 225/70/19.5. My wife just doesn't appreciate the deal I just got so I figured I had to tell someone who would understand. So I go in to Les Schwab yester day to have my brakes checked out on my truck. And the guy says yeah you could use some new front brakes and he says boy you could use some new tires also as my continental hdr's were getting wore down and I knew it, I was actually going to pull the trigger on a new set of toyo's anyways I tell him and he says you know I think we have a set of used tires, and I say really are they 19.5 he says yeah I think so so we go look at them and they are the exact size and model that I was looking for and I asked him what the deal was wit them because he said they were used but they still had more than 95% tread, he said they were on a small local head start school bus for less than a month and they upgraded to new busses so they pulled these tires off. So long story is that I ended up getting 8 tires for $175 each. So I walked out with 2 sets of basically brand new toyo 608z's for less than I was going to spend on 1 set of tires. Sorry guys but I had to brag to someone. Also if anyone is interested there is 1 more set there they had a total of 12 tires and I bought 8 so if anyone has been looking for a set let me know and I will give you their number.
I spent about $500 per tire/rim combination for my 245's. If there was a similar deal like that on 245's, I would not hesitate to pick up a few spares.
I can hear your excitement through your words. Good for you. I am also a bargain shopper and finally after 23 years have convinced my hubby that there always is a deal if you look.
It's only a bargain if you need it though. Your wife must be happy now she realizes what you bought.
