I have a 2005 Kodiak 19FL Travel Trailer. The white plastic vent cover over the bathroom is shot and I am trying to find another but I can't seem to find one. The platic cover is 12 3/4 inches ssquarefrom outside edge to to outside edge (rooftop side). I can find many covers but they measure 14 x 14 inches and have a different hing system. Here are a couple pictures of back and front.

HERE is a link to the hinge types that will make it easier to match up the vent covers to the ones that you have. I would suggest getting the Unbreakable Polycarbonate ones with 5 year Warranty. A few bucks more but they really are worth it. A short video on how it is done is HERE.

MaxxAir vent covers after you have replaced the vent lids is a great idea they will protect that vent lid and you can open the vent when it is raining.

The EASY AND BEST way is to remove the cover and take it to your nearest RV dealer.

There is several different models with different hinge styles.. Your local RV dealer parts department will be able to look at the cover and determine the correct replacement cover.

At the same time, you need to remove and replace all the cracked caulking around the cover, I would bet it is letting a lot more water in to the roof structure than the holes in the cover..

By the way, you can set the size of your photos so you don't need to scroll side to side.. This is done in the picture editor Where you copied the picture URL)in the boxes for height and width you put 600 for height and 480 for width.. Makes not only the mods happy but everyone who reads your thread..

I am thinking that maybe you can remove the existing lid and use the lid from a 14 by 14 lid and flange. Remove all the old caulking, and possibly the existing metal lid..or not.. but then lay the new flanged lid with it's cover right overtop. Recaulk out to match the new flanged lid.

The lid does not have to match the 12 by 12 inch hole that is underneath...or maybe it does?

There are 2-3 different hinge types, but all are the same 14x14. Pull it off and haul it to the nearest RV shop, or at least look at the detail of the hinge type if you order online.

Take it off and toss it as far as you can!

Buy a Fantastic fan from Amazon.com

That fan will be quiet, move a LOT more air, and has a thermostat, so if you want to leave it off until it gets warm, then start automatically, it will do that.

I have Maxx air vent covers on my 3 fantastic fans, 1996 models, with no problems with the vent covers. The Maxx air covers probably block all the UV light from the covers. And I can leave them open in the rain, snow, ect. and while driving too!

Good luck,

Fred.

Not exactly sure. But have you tried to look at places that sell camper shells for pickups? I seem to recall seeing some places selling vents. I believe they are of the size you may be looking for. Just a thought.
