does anyone have any new information on 2011 mileage Diesel v gas since Diesel has gone crazy
I get 23-24 running 62-65 empty with my 8300 pound 11 F350 CC. Towing our fiver (around 11,000 pounds) I get anywhere from 11 to 14 at the same speeds.
That is some great mileage! I only get 20-22 with my 5.4L F250 at those speeds and 10-12mpg towing our 5th wheel 65~mph. :B

Maybe off a cliff. I have a 5.4L and have never seen anything close to those numbers. It gets 12mpg (at best) pulling my 4000lb ski boat. My Duramax gets that pulling my 10,000lb TT.
In my opinion, Gas vs Diesel is kind of like Mustang V6 or V8. Both get you to the same place in the same manor, just one is a little more expensive (and more fun) to drive.

In my experience with a PSD only one i like it was 99 f350 with 7.3L.
670K miles when totaled by SWIFT truck.
We had a 6.0L witch was junk:replaced by ford @37K,99K,175K,280K and when blow up @340 we give up on 6.0L and went to dodge witch we got @440K miles on the original motor and still in service.
Under load 6.0L fuel mileage was ~9mpg,V10 same load 9.7mpg
My 06 V10 was replaced due some idiot stripping the plug thread.(truck was owned by large corporation so they did not care on putting bend new motor in it).I got 334K miles on the chassis now.
If it blows it won't cost me $14K to replace it.
Keep in mine the all the trucks pull 15-19K lbs trailers full time.
I need my trucks to work ,not to sit in the shop like the 6.0 did.time lost while diesel in the shop i take lower MPG and less down time.
In the end V10 vs 6.0 in 5 years of service was cheaper truck to operate.
But if you want to have a big exhaust and turbo wisle go ahead and buy a diesel.
My 0.02.
