WOW!! thank you everybody -

downtheroad's picture is just what I was hoping for - it looks great

my camper is 20 years old and I'm not sure the previous owners ever even covered it - all things considering the seams are still pretty good - I was looking for something to cover them before they start leaking - this looks like it will do the trick

thanks again

it amazing what you can fix with eternabond tape and some dicor. My wife scraped the edge of the TC on a tree branch and tore the rubber roof alond the corner, ripped the molly rack loose and peeled oper the rear corner. I resealed it with the tape and then put dicor at the tape TC interface to prevent peeling. That was in early 2015 no issues since then

eternabond in place

I guess its time to try Eternabond.

anyway, does anyone on here have a reason I should NOT use Eternabond? It is all its cracked up to be?

Should I be adding that to my Arctic fox before I find a crack in the factory sealant?

.

That's what I did before any significant weathering of my caulking on our new AF 996 occurred. I still inspect and caulk any untaped areas, but after 3 years (stored in an enclosed building) the tape looks almost as good as new.

I got a problem with an Open Range. The front edge (like shown above) is just caulked, but over on the side where that edge, and the rain gutter, and the siding, and the front cab all come together, there is a crack that keeps opening up every 2 months. nothing I can put on it will not crack. Now water has stated to get down into both front corners on side and the RV looks like ****.

I guess its time to try Eternabond.

anyway, does anyone on here have a reason I should NOT use Eternabond? It is all its cracked up to be?

I see something on my Open Range slide out roof that appears to be eternabond that seals the roof onto the outward flange of the slide ou

I have used it under solar panel mounts, but if it was so great, why don't the manufactures put it on that front roof to cap joint on all the RV's?
I guess its because of cost, and the factory joints seem to hold up (for the most part)?

Should I be adding that to my Arctic fox before I find a crack in the factory sealant?

in fact here is a picture of my problem area.

looking at RS of long gray piece that sticks out in photo, you can see the crack. this picture was before I cleaned it up and resealed it again in November.

It just looks like white tape.
It's very important to follow the directions to the letter. This includes cleaning and pressing or rolling the tape after you stick it down. This is the way you activate the real adhesive in it.
