We're looking at camping this weekend and are taking our new to us TT our for its first distance trip. I've seen ppl with flags attached to their rigs and would like to do the same thing. My BIL uses an extendable painters pole that he attaches to the back of his TT. I'm looking at going the same route but will attach it permanently to our ladder. I'm curious as to what/how other ppl attach theirs and what they use.

This is our first year with a TT as we used to have a PUP and upgraded to our TT as it fits our needs wise. 4 kids and such we needed the room.

I have a 25' telescopic flag pole that I bought at the state fair that's 3" in diameter at the base. I made my own mount out of an 8" X 12" piece of 3/8" aluminum. I drilled four holes in it and added two 4" square end u-bolts and bolted it to my rear bumper. I then drilled four holes in it and added two 3" round end u-bolts to hold a 3" X 12" piece of heavy wall PVC pipe. All I do is slide the flag pole into the pipe and run the telescope up.

The flagpole kits are probably really nice, but I didn't want to spend $100 or more to have one, so I solved the flagpole issue by making my own for less than $25.00.
Go to your favorite big box store and buy a 10' piece of 1-1/4" PVC and a 10' piece of 1" PVC. The 1" pipe will slide inside the 1-1/4" pipe so all you have to do is drill a couple of holes so you can put a bolt through to hold the extended position. I drilled a couple of holes near the top of the 1" pipe and inserted a couple of eye bolts to clip the flag to. I use carabiner clips to secure the flag to the eye bolts.
I hope this helps!

I forgot to mention that I just use bungie cords to attach the flag pole to my ladder. The bottom of the flag pole just sits on the rear bumper.

I made my own flagpole mount with white pvc about 24" long (2" pvc as I recall) and glued a cap to the bottom (drilled a couple small holes for water drainage) and clamped it to the ladder with stainless steel hose clamps. Works great, just drop the flag pole in the pvc holder.

X2 on Poles and Holders Mine takes a beating. I never take it down regardless of weather. On my second one the first was about 10 years old when it finally broke and the new one is going on 5 years with no issues.

Here's what I use. Flag Pole

I just place base on ground, place a block of wood on it and then nose jack. Base fits in front storage and pole collapses to travel inside camper. Not sure how it can work w/ma FW.

X's 2 - Works very well. I usually fly a service branch flag, and have made many friends with other veterans that stop by to chat (and sip a little bit)

One of the best on the market for flag poles and mounts is Poles And Holders they are a family owned, father and daughter company.

They have been in business for more than 16 years making all their mounts in house, and have great customer service, fast shipping, and a very good warranty, if there is any problems just bring it by or call Corky, the owner, he will make it right.

Here in the west, on our windy beaches and deserts, you will see mostly their products. Their price is right for a quality, long lasting and durable flag pole and Mounts I use the Folding Hitch Mount

In more than 10 years of use I have had no problems with my 22 Ft pole and mine has withstood 40 mph winds.
