My first thought as well.
Short of the OP taking the picture himself, I will refuse to believe this picture is real.
Also, there's not a bumper-pull style ball hitch rated to cover the weight of the RV alone. Ever since I saw those tow dollies and the "pull any RV" mentality it expresses, I've been saying that it doesn't get you around the max tow weight capabilities of the ball hitch.

Assuming he is with someone, he needs to get another truck or suv to follow and pull the boat then they can get rid of that thingamajig that's towing the fifth plus they would have a nicer daily driver.

Fuel economy would be horrible. My guess is that it would back up better than a cargo trailer hooked to a fifth wheel hooked directly to the truck.

Here in Wisconsin, the first tow has to be a 5th wheel, not a 5th wheel connected to the tow vehicle by a dolly. Wisconsin also has a max length but ours is only 65'.

Legal length would get him in trouble first.

The two ball or pintle hitch would be assumption or hope on one. I doubt would be an issue. As Semi trucks have the same connection to the trailer/truck in front as the truck to 5W trailer does....I could be wrong on this too.

In Idaho we can only be 75' long. My CC, LB, with a 38' toyhauler and a jet ski behind it is 74'and you cant see what's going on behind the toyhauler which is a little unnerving (needs a camera). This must be 85' long at least. That is a lot of trailering.
