Well y'all can take all your eco raptor, whatever and come back when you're a little closer to 700hp!

In the video they said that the Hellcat truck was 575 hp. I imagine the next Raptor will be very close to that. The real question is, what does GM have to offer?

Sounds like you get the Hellcat engine but only the black key. The big boy key might come later if competition makes it necessary.

But I thought tuning/programming a gas engine didn't do any good. :B

It certainly can with turbo/supercharged engines. Change the waste gate settings on a turbo or put a smaller pulley on a supercharger and voila, more air. Reprogram the ECM to provide more fuel to match the increase in boost and bob's your uncle.

The Hellcat comes with two key fobs. The black one gives you 500 HP and the red one gives you the full 707.

It also has a valet mode which limits it to about 200 HP and limits the car to second gear.

Just kidding you. I have driven several. You and even get a manual 6 speed which is fun. :C

Since the Hellcat is just a concept at this time, I suppose GM could make a concept and use its existing 6.2L and bump it up to the Corvette figures of 650hp and 650 ft lbs.. Now that would be blast to drive!

The Raptor is on the dealers lots. The Hellcat Ram is a one-off concept. Does FCA even have the cash to bring it to market ?

It would likely be far superior to the V10 in power. And likely equal or inferior in MPG.
Eco or Boost you can't have both with a V6 or a V8 twin turbo gas engine.
Not sure what you are saying about the CAFE ratings, but I do know the government is interested in them, and the manufactures are interested in not being fined.
That is why they are bringing a 3.0 V6 diesel to the market!
There is a lot working against a EB V8. And even if it comes to market (which I doubt), my $ (and interest) would still be geared more toward the Hellcat. Have you heard that exhaust note???
LOL and it isn't a recording pumped into the cab to make the owner feel good 😉

There have been rumors of a 5.0 V8 EB since the 3.5 came out. Due to CAFE, I'd bet dollars to donuts that it never happens.

Even it is superior to the V10 ? Remember cafe ratings are not met (much) in the real world ,but if its in the lab........
I'll take that bet 🙂
