Wow, the best **** tires I have ever had that came OEM on a new vehicle which finally need replacing after about 40K in 3 years. This one is gonna hurt. Free shipping indeed LOL.

Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

Not poor money management, that was humor. Something that is lacking in a big way on RV.net.

FWIW I grilled up some filets last night I hand cut from a nice whole loin. Would of rather had a ribeye.

Not 100% sure where Verde Valley is and not going to google it. Spend some time in SW and Central PA, driving mostly 2 lane state and county roads in the Allegheny mountains, then slap your head when you don't make it to 40K with a set of tires.

Do they tar and chip roads every summer with limestone chips in Verde Valley, essentially making them 20 grit sandpaving?

I ran Michelin AT2s when towing FT majority of which was on secondary/back roads cause I Hate Interstates

At 60K I would get a new set...not because tires were worn out....still good thread left. I am anal about tires especially when towing FT
I keep them balanced but rarely rotated them.
Fronts were kept at 55# and Rear at 45# non-towing/80# towing

Other then rear tires on my cars in high school I have always gotten at least 50K out of tires.
My working years I drove mainly Ford Broncos with 1 to 1 1/2 hr commutes one way to/from work...all types of roadways and ran Coopers. Still got 50K or better.

Tires never dictated whether or not I ate Rib-eyes. That's just poor money management.

some need to remember if not posted yet. If you do more city county road, stop and go, turns etc, you will not get as good of tire life as one that does mostly highway miles on an interstate or state hwy at speed. Ea time to stop and start, you lose an extra amount of tread with the micro skids you fat arse can not feel vs just going straight not stopping. Go around a corner, again, your tires skid some, probably not enough for our fat arses to notice, but still some rubber left back there that a highway driver that is not stopping will not lose!
I've personally found Michiblows to be one of the worst tires on my trucks! Cooper, Toyo some of the better ones. GY, BFG to also be on the lower mileage side. I had a set of Firstone HT's on a van at work, got some 65K miles out of them. But driving some 35000 miles per year, on interstates etc, not surprising! on one of my pickups, 45-50,000 would be doing really good. Probably more of a 40-45K mile tire.

Every now ,and then we hear about Firestone, and this kind of mileage. My last Firestone Transforce HT's lasted 29K, the ones before that were similar. Experienced pretty much the same with Michelins.

You ,and me both. Firestone is by far the worst wearing tire I have ever owned, as far as stopping, whatever that remark meant.

I believe I said if using my truck like you for my business I would likely choose your tire of choice.

I have the Firestone TransForce AT's on my 2013 Ram 2500 CTD and got just shy of 50,000 before I changed them. If it wasn't for the fact that snow was coming, I could have easily run them another 5000 or more. Same here, as a mater a fact I know fro a fact that the Good Year SRA's that came off my Ecodiesel at 28K were put on one of the workers trucks. Those things were scary in the rain and had 4/32 and 5/32 of thread left on them. I usually run tires down to the 3/32 mark before changing them myself.

As for stakes, Ribeyes are a great stake but I prefer a Porterhouse myself.

Thats a tough sell, I think you are forgetting there are others on here, and so far no one has reported 100k on their tires . You must have a magic touch :R

Well....I did get 154k miles on my LT235/80R17 Bridgestone DuraVis R500’s on my 2014 RAM 3500 Crew Cab.

Of course.....one guy in particular totally discounted my claims of good ride quality and traction over on TDR. I’m sure you may even know this guy....

I find 100K claims laughable.......especially so on a 4X4.
I am lazy when it comes to rotation since I don't drive the 2015 much, and would like to run a lower pressure when not towing, but the **** TPMS drives me nuts when I do. I am seeing center wear on the rears.
One thing I do not do is run them down to the 2-32 minimum I can get away with per PA's yearly state inspection requirements. I know when it's time by feel on a wet road.


Cummmins12 claims 100K from Michelin's and BFG's....,that's not been my experience with either. BFG's would last way longer than the Michelin's I have had, but would cup excessively and get noisy.
I walked out back from the office yesterday and looked at an F350 we have at work, that has Michelin LTX AT2's, and @ 30K they are down to about 3/16" tread. I would not buy a Goodyear if they were the last tire on earth.

Perhaps the best tires I have ever had was back in the mid 90's when Hoosier Racing Tire made street tires for a few years. Those **** things would wear like iron, but would sing like all get out after a few thousand miles. I believe they stopped making on road tire around 2000.
