How would you feel about someone cutting through your hotel room to get to the lobby? Yeah, that's about how I feel.

I actually saw just that two weeks ago. This guy used the firepit grill in someone else's campsite right after they left. At first I assumed they were friends--and also was concerned someone would leave a hot fire.

But as it turns out their teenage daughter was in the TT, supposedly to mind the firepit but then afraid to come out, while they ran out to the on-site store. When they returned they were not happy campers.

This at a national park service administered campground where the campfire "borrower" appeared to be living in an older Toyota based class c--in poor condition (with a tent beside it, presumably acting as a shed of sorts). He was not the only person living there like that. The campsite would have otherwise had a nice nostalgic charm to it. Instead it had a "lock everything up" feel to it and we left early the next morning.

My wife takes it to the opposite extreme. If a CG has cabins for rent, I am always curious what is inside the cabin (beds, bathroom, kitchen, A/C, electric, etc). Even if no one is around and it is obvious to me the cabin is not rented at the time, my wife freaks when I go up to the cabin to try and see inside. She is so worried about stepping one foot on someone else's turf.

Very, very, rarely happens so I never think about it. Has happened maybe 2-3 times in 11 years.
Agree - probably happens less times than the number of pages in this thread.:Z

I do not think chasing small children, loose dogs, errant papers etcetera, would be construed a trespassing unless it happens routinely.

Life has a way of adding a little excitement once in a while.

Just right for Grandpa, Grandma and the dog.

My dog got loose this past weekend, and I had to chase him and stepped about 10 feet into our neighbor's campsite to get him. I felt really dirty ๐Ÿ™‚ Nobody seemed to be home for days, but it felt wrong anyways.

My family does not walk through others sites. I prefer others not walk through ours. "What they say/how they say it" when I ask if I can help them as they walk through determines the rest of the encounter. I have a dog and now teenage children and none of them need stranger encounters in our campsite. The much needed and sometimes sorely missing common sense/common courtesy is taught if you expose yourself to be lacking! Nicely, but firmly. Has worked since I was a kid and my parents told me not to walk through other sites and watching my parents speak to uninvited guests. Works for my family now! You might say paying the proper etiquette lesson forward!

This has got to be in my top 5 of pet peeves.

Ive always told my Daughters since they were little (now in there 20's) not to do that.

Just last summer, I had this young boy, probably 8-10 yrs old, come waltzing through my site on his way back from the beach. He was carrying a water ski tube and draging the tow rope about 15' behind him. I thought, "hmmm lets see how this plays out" and sure enough, he snagged a small folding table, knocking it over as well as a chair. I said "REALLY?!!" and his parents looked on and never batted an eye. In fact, they looked at my like "whats your problem?"

I get off my chair, walk up to them and punch them as hard as I can in the face, men, women, kids, bears, dogs, squirrels, birds, mt.lions, raccoons, skunks, cats, park police, bees, I don't care. If they say, growl or anything back I punch them in the head again. This has worked well for me over the years.

Not pleased with them doing it and has been done many times. We have been setting out front of the camper and I have 4 dogs that go crazy barking in protecting what is our space.
