I am really interested in looking at the smaller Lance trailers, with 3-4 models available to compare. But there are very few dealers in the Southeast, and even fewer of them that have more than a couple of models in stock.

I assume that this is because Lance trailers are made in CA, and relatively few migrate their way to the Southeast.

Also Lance's site is very frustrating... all you can do is search for the closest dealer, no others will show up. To find more than one dealer, you have to put in various city names to see if there is anything shows up. How about a map with dealer locations marked, so a person can CHOOSE a location?

There's a shop around me here in Oregon that has a bunch of them that may help you internet shop a bit:

I bought a trailer from these folks years ago and there were a great place to deal with for anyone who is nearby.

FWIW - I found this dealer location map on the Lance website...

Unfortunately tho, the location markers do not link to the dealer websites.

Go try Rvtrader and put in a search radius. Wouldn't that help?

Yep on the above, and dealers don't want to tie up even more money having a high end trailer transported 2000+ miles across the US.
Transport costs drive up the price even further.

I do not think I would buy sight unseen, no matter how good the brand.

A call to the manufacturer should find the nearest dealers, a call to those dealers may tell you what if any models they have in stock.

You just might have to take that road trip to check it out. There are big bucks on the line.

Good luck

The specs are on the web site. But that's not the same as seeing them and moving around in them.

I think there are not a lot of dealers because there are 1) not so many Lance trailers made and 2) they are made on the west coast 3) they are somewhat pricey.

I looked at the Lance models at last year's Florida RV show in Tampa. I thought they were really nice, and well thought out. I have read some owner complaints, but there seem to complaints about every brand out there. There is a dealer in Florida that carries them, you've probably found them on the website. Not sure why there are so few dealers that do.

Oh I agree. No substitute for a walk-through. Just not very many available to look at. My nearest dealer only has the largest models on hand.

Possibly, LOL.

I've thought about seeing if my closest dealer (still not very close, like 2.5 hours) can order a unit. I'm sure they would.... but then what if I don't like it?
