Larger Windows in Bigfoot Campers?

A friend just bought an adventurer truck camper and I have to say, I am quite impressed. I really like the forward bath across from the fridge layout. More privacy in the bedroom and it really opens up the rest of the camper with the dinette across from the gally. Overall very nicely done camper.

One of the things that stood out to me was the larger Windows in the kitchen and dinette that I really liked. I think they must have been 2" or 3" taller than my Bigfoot windows. To the point of my post, is there anything preventing one from installing larger Windows in the Bigfoots? Obviously it would require cutting of fiberglass to do it but are there any structural reasons one could not do this?

On a side note, how much privacy do you need in the bed area of a truck camper?
How many people are in there?!!

My wife and I have always had different sleep/wake times. In our BF 9.6 the bed was open to the rest of the camper and with her going to bed early, and me staying up late, we had to hang dark towels at foot of the bed to block light, and I had to use headlamp to read and do stuff.
We now have a BF10.4 with the mid bath and it separates the living area from the bed area. Works so much better for us. She has her dark quiet bedroom at night, and I can sit at the table with lights on and radio playing low. Early morning it is just the opposite when she is up and I am in bed.

All the openings in my Host are framed which would make it difficult to enlarge openings without getting down to framing to modify it. I am not sure how this done in the Bigfoot.

Seems like a lot of work plus the cost of new windows for a small increase in window size. Not to mention the interior cornice,day night shades, and mini blinds size differences

I have the Bigfoot 10.4 that has the forward bath across from the fridge layout. They built a lot fewer of these I think so they can be hard to find used.

The windows I have explored on the BF are surrounded by some wood. To make them bigger, you'd need to cut out the shape, reef back the foam, and glue in wood at the new perimeter. How much bigger you can go before compromising structure too much would be a judgement call - I doubt Bigfoot did a lot of finite element analysis on the stresses.

The mid bath is the reason I searched long and hard for a used Bigfoot 25C9.4SB. Four windows not counting the door. Back in to a campsite and enjoy the view. Our old Okanagan is as you described. Bath and big closet at the bed, kitch. and f2f dinette at the back. I certainly does feel more spacious/open.

Anyway, IIRC Bigfoot is all glass construction, no wood frame. The only obstacle would be $.

For structural questions - you should contact the manufacturer.
Newer campers do have aluminum framing, what should never be cut, when Bigfoot from what I read relies on fiberglass shell for structural strength?
Still cutting bigger opening in the wall can start lot of troubles.
I would rather add skylight, as this will give even more light without privacy concern.

I certainly don't know, but if I was to make assumptions, I'd think the wood window framing would be part of the structure, if there is wood in there. You'd also need to be very sure there's no wiring in there, though that seems unlikely. Unless some here has your exact model and done it, I'd only be putting my trust in Bigfoot themselves for that answer!
