We have a heavy foam mattress. I cut a regular queen down with a sharp serrated breadknife. I also have a Skyline, The "frame" can handle it. It handles that and 350 Lbs of us.

A 4" or greater foam mattress topper works great. If you have one of the short queens then just take a old kitchen knife, heat it up on the stove, then use it to cut the mattress to length. It leaves a nice smooth edge and no mess.

The mattress that came with my trailer is the worst. Can it be replaced by an ordinary queen matress sold in stores?
