I think we would like a mattress Topper, but I do not want one that will make me hot. Recommendations appreciated. Thanks Jim

I know everyone has their opinion on this, here is ours.

http://www.healthyfoundations.com/toppers.html

If you are after quality that will last they offer top quality and back it with a 1 year "return" policy. We have now bought 3 of them for various beds. Never returned one yet.

They will help a firm bed however is the bed itself is shot, they will not fix shot.

I picked up the healthy foundations tip from a fellow RV.net member a long time ago. So giving it back for others.

2.5 or 3" queen sized memory foam model from Costco, about $65, if I remember correctly?

I recommend the thickest, stiffest one your budget allows.

Sleepys has a Bamboo fiber one which breathers. We like ours.

We have a 4" memory foam mattress pad in the camper and one at home(Overstock.com for about $135 queen size). We found it tended to feel hot so we went to a heavier pillow top mattress cover (with deep corners so it will stay in place) and that did the trick for us.

Well, here is what I ordered.
Soft Sleeper 5.5 Queen Size 4 Inch Thick, Soft Sleeper 5.5 100% Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Overlay Made From 100% Visco Elastic.
Found it on Amazon, for $97.00 with free shipping. Signed up for an Amazon credit card, and saved another $50.00. Total cost $47.00

Amazon has a very good return policy, if we don't like it.

Thanks for all the comments on my original question.

See my post in another thread in this forum. A nice 1.5" one we got for about $70 did the trick for us.

Look for one with gel. That keeps you cooler. We bought a mattress from www.bedinabox.com - we bought the PacBed Original RV Queen 11" thick mattress with gel. Love it!! Not cheap but so glad we bought it. It ships in a box, take the box in the RV, open the box, remove the shrink wrap and voila! Instant bed!!

Just picked up a memory foam queen topper from Costco for $138. Only had it one night so the jury is still out but it seemed pretty good. Not as firm as the TempurPedic in the S&B, but close.

Use the same as you would in a home bed. There are many pads out there and all sorts of prices. I got one at Macy's on sale about a year ago.

What they said, we have the same mattress, mattress topper and mattress heater as we have at home.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
