Need more help with tow vehicle/truck trade/purchase!?

Ok guys, I wanted to start a new thread because the other one was bogged down. My husband and I have an 08 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, 4WD, with the 3.92 gears. It has the hemi also. I mean it is a nice truck, but we really want a crew cab, and would like something that we might feel is a little more durable. WE have had friends with the hemi that their truck has had a lot of issues and transmission issues. These are the trucks we have considered trading for and I want to know thoughts and if these would pull good? Our TT will be 25 feet, 5800lbs loaded.

-2012 F150 crew, 5.0
-2011 F150 crew, 3.5 Ecoboost (both of these have 3.55 gears)
-2013 Silverado 1500 LT Crew (3.42 gears, 5.3L)
-2009 GMC Sierra Denali AWD (3.42 gears, 6.2L)
-2009 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi crew (the only reason I would consider this is I have heard this gen hemi is better, but this has 3.55 gears)

WE have considered these diesels also but I just wonder if thats overkill?

I agree, why trade for a lesser or less dependable tow vehicle? If your truck is dependable, why does it matter if you know someone whose truck wasn't? Unless you spend more and move newer, all your choices are going backwards.

Of your first list, skip the 2 turd diesels. Of the rest, none will be heads and tails above what you have for pulling except maybe the Denali or the Eco, but it's a first year Eco so I'd drop that and the Denali is older so not as much power as the new ones.
Unless something wrong with your truck other than not being a crew cab, you're not really upgrading with your choices.
Of the bunch, all apples to apples, I'd go for the 5.0 ford for bang for the buck.

Why do you need to trade? It's easier than you think. You'll save thousands selling it yourself and then you can use the extra to purchase your desired TV.

Problem you may have ( depending on family size ) could be with payload unless you get max version. We do not have that version but there are only 2 of us. We travel pretty light but are still close to our max payload with us and 2 kayaks.

The f150 Eco is a good tow vehicle for light weight trailers, but as said above look for one with the max payload package. The Eco Boost pulls well, but in my experience with them,the lite weight trucks doesn't handle well when you start pushing their limits. If you decided to look at the F150, be sure to check door stickers, I've seen them listed with as little as 1,500 pound payload capacities.

Any of the half tons listed should pull the trailer with ease, assuming that they are properly set up with tow packages and WDHs. The 6.0l is a beast, but requires high test gas. I tow a 26' 7500# (8800# max) TT with my 2016 Sierra 1500, 5.3l, 3.42 gears with ease. I didn't skimp on the hitch and bought an Equal-I-zer WDH. The truck is as stable as can be and can be driven with one hand. I also have the stock P tires and run them at the recommended pressure of 35#. The trailer tow package includes rear anti-sway. Best wishes, not all trucks are the same wrt to towing.

It's just my husband and I no kids and 3 small dogs. Doing some BBQ competitions too so have 2 smokers and gear there.

The newer F150s can easily tow 5800lbs. I don't think you need a diesel, and yes, some of the 6.0 Fords were problematic. I don't know anything about the others except to say higher rear axles are generally better for towing.
