Hot is
-when campground dumpster gets packed with cardboard from new AC units.
-when after finding a bench under good shade, you still get your behind burned.
I am in Phoenix now, but my Las Vegas house shows about the same.
Today is cold - temperatures drop to 104F

Another definition come up.
When you come back home from you vacations and the romantic candle you had at your master whirlpool are all melted on the floor, that means it was hot here.

We were in AK Summer of 1993 and multiple locals complained about the heat and how they move to Alaska to get away from the heat. Most days were running in the mid 70s but apparently it was a heat wave.

Leaving a very comfortable North San Diego coastline for Durango Colorado tomorrow morning. Have to pass through Needles CA which is predicted to be 123 degrees tomorrow. That should be fun (on the truck, tires, trailer, trailer tires, etc).

For drive like that you should leave like 4-5 AM
Additional observation, how people in Phoenix live.
In Vegas you stay indoor till sundown and then go out.
It is impossible to walk any distance when sun is up with 110F+ heat, but about 8PM with some acclimatization you can go somewhere.
Yet all restaurants here close about 8 PM, when some of them are open for lunch only.
What those people do at nights?
I am not comparing to Barcelona, where good restaurants OPEN at 10 PM

Phoenix News Station cooked a pizza in their parking lot yesterday

2 days ago I passed my campground neighbor who was starting his BBQ having some burgers.
He was standing on concrete pad that at full sun had 200+F.
I just shook my head.

As I remember it 104 in Phoenix is several degrees below average for this time of the year. Have no fear the monsoon will arrive soon and you will feel the heat.

It's been brutal here in Florida for the past 10 days!
Humidity and temps so high you can't even breath just standing still.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Hot is the upper 80's in my neck of the woods ....but to get this pleasant summer weather we pay for it with several winter days of -20's (even -30's at times.)

We are now past 21 June so we are on our way towards winter again but today is in the mid 80's and low humidity 🙂
