New Dent in my passenger front door

camping at Hillman Ferry, KY Lake.

backed into my site, was watching to be sure I did not back into my trailer
guess I was not watching the small tree on the right side of my truck.
hit the tree and mashed in my driver door, nice site but lots of trees,

fix-it guy said he could repair the damage, (2005 dodge diesel quad cab) but it might be cheaper to buy a used door, so he is looking,

at least no mirror damage,

just got the rear quarter panels fixed from backing into by lawn mower trailer.

on well, at least I am not denting up a $60K new Dodge, Ford or GM one ton.

I do not turn these little ones in on my insurance, just pay and go.

save my insurance for the big one, just hope it never comes.

the dent did take some of the enjoyment out of my camping experience. at least its on the passenger side so I do not see it every time I get in the truck.

Will try to be more careful,

LOL, Most commenters have done something really stupid and won't admit it. I was backing up my Peterbilt one day without a trailer and backed into a Ford truck. Got charged with an accident too. Only one I ever had in 4 million miles that was chargable.

Is the paint damaged? If not, consider paintless dent repair.
Experience without good judgment is worthless; good judgment without experience is still good judgment!

That was one heck of a tree if it dented the driver's door and it came from the passenger side 😉

I can understand how it happned. But if he hit the tree on the right side of his truck and dented the drivers door then I think he also "dented" the frame.

Which is it Drivers side or passenger side? They plant the trees and bushes right next to the pads here to I saw 3 of the post with the site # broke off and crunch peoples doors and boxes. Not quite as bad as dragging your skeg and prop up the boat ramp because you forgot to trim the motor up!
