New truck! Got it!

Picking up my new refreshed Silverado RST 3.0 Duramax with NHT tomorrow! Little over 3 months from the day I ordered it.

I traded in a 2019 Silverado 1500 with the Z71 package and got this guy with the NHT package and they ride completely different. The Z71 was pretty soft and this rides nice and firm and flat and just feels rock solid. I stayed around 55 for the 140 mile trip home and she showed a smidge over 33 mpg.
The mirrors are pretty big but I bought it to tow and we'll see how it does pulling 7,500 lbs up the mountains.
The new interior and so nice too. Really love it so far but it's going to take a wile to get used to those big ace mirrors!

Nice truck and lucky you have it, hopefully at a fair price.

A coworkers brother tried to swing a cash deal on an "in stock" 2022 GMC Yukon XL last Tuesday. The deal offered by the sales manager was sticker ($92K) plus 16, take it or leave it. He left it. I am sure some sucker probably already bought it.

I got a great unheard of deal but I promised the dealer I wouldn't talk about it. But very happy and GM has 1.9 percent interest this month too.

Thanks but isn't that what you're supposed to do ? But I agree, so many listen to a salesman or just don't do their home work.

Lol. I see what you did there! Tryin to razzle up the rvnet weight cops I see….
But yeah, not even close to a HD chassis.
Although the new 1500s are pretty stout for what they are.

It gets you more then it would seem. Going through mountain passes in the wind or trying to stop when your trailer brake plug comes loose will show a big difference but the new 1/2 tons are very capable... to a point.

Ah, so NHT must be the RPO code for the HD trailering package. When you say "increased" RAWR, GVWR, GCWR, I'd be interested to know what those numbers are. Seems like the 1500's are getting so capable that going to a 2500 doesn't get you much.

The OPs truck will be a great tower, for his use, but not even close to a 2500!

Agree. Thought hard about it but decided that this truck should be perfect with 7500 lbs and the unloaded mileage is pretty crazy for a truck. It won't be close to it's 12,900 tow rating but I don't think any 1/2 ton should be towing over 8,000 lbs and if I thought I would get a bigger trailer one day, I would have gotten a 3/4 ton but I have already been down that road and for me with plans for a lot of tow miles a 25 ft trailer is perfect.

GM ordering guide shows the 1500 NHT package comes with a 7300 gvwr and 4150 rawr.

Great looking truck in white with a bit of black trim here and there.... and especially not those all black butz ugly wheels.

With the HP and especially those big torque numbers it should make a good 1/2 ton tow machine....and good DD mpgs.

Nothing close to GMs 2500 11550 gvwr and 6600 rawr.
