I thought the concept of camping was to get back to nature. To hear all the sounds of nature and see the stars and light bugs.

You should hear what some hikers/backpackers have to say about your setup. I say different strokes for different folks. Some just like to enhance their experience with crafts and creations.

🙂 Hi, I really don't care for bucket lights, not my style. But I still like to read about what others have done and made. If it bothers some campers that much, I think I'll make one just for the heck of it. :B

You did a good job on the light bucket. May try my hand at building one.

Are you a moderator?

I don't know who you are referring to but I am genuinely interested. What is the benefit/advantage of a bucket light either perceived or real? What does a bucket light do that another ordinary light doesn't do?

The one objection I have to my “porch light” is you can see it from across the campgrounds. I think it was originally intended as an airport honing beacon.:B

I think the bucket light in a neat idea.
