Propane tank covers needed

Looking for covers for my twin propane tanks for my TT. Not the light weight ones that come as standard equipment but the heavy duty ones that have a lid on top. Camping World catalogue has one but still look a little light weight.
Thanks

Although it is probably not an issue where you are, the covers do provide some UV protection for the hoses, and I have found in very cold temps provide a little freeze protection for the regulator. Having had it both ways, I much prefer the cover.
Understood. Yeah, if I was in the Southwest, I'd have hoses wrapped with Techflex but I bet that would only forestall replacement.

I don't worry about regulators freezing. I've used propane cylinders with a regulator outside the fishouse down to -20f. Maybe I'm just lucky.

The cover will not provide any freeze protection. If anything make it a bit colder as it will keep the sun and solar from warming it up

Only when the sun is shining.. And if you have a black cover, then it will help a lot

I use one for the same reason. The sun in the south and rubber hoses don't get along.

Well, they are light weight for a reason. Just how heavy do you need one to be? Mine has the hinged access panel on top and its 4 yrs. old. Aside from being a bit faded its still structurally sound. When the day comes to replace it I will just get another one like the old one, they are cheap enough.

Ours sounds just like yours and while there is zero chance of it blowing off we have a small bungy cord underneath holding front and back in place. I sure don't want it ever to be any heavier. Good luck finding what works for you.
