Ram and Chevy MPG Test Part 2

Test run ~100 miles with very little wind. Obviously this is not a comparison since these trucks are not similar.

Ram: 16.8 mpg (5.7 E-Torque Rebel)
Chevy: 24.2 mpg (2.7 Turbo)

Noteworthy:
The Ram was previously tested by TFL making significant understated fuel economy performance, but was assumed the engine wasn't broken in.

The Chevy was previously tested by Car and Driver again making significant understated fuel economy and was actually worse than the 5.3.

It did show the DIC might not be accurate.

This test wasn't a comparison but a test to see if their actual mpg improved to be more in line with their rated fuel economy.

🙂 Hi, I didn't watch this video yet, but I will. I read somewhere that the Chevy gets it's best gas mileage at 48 MPH. Who drives their truck at 48 MPH?

Did he say the testing was done in CO? Depending on where in CO elevation may have worked against the naturally-aspirated Hemi.
