Refrigerator and/or sink and/or range in slide?

I've looked at several floor plans with one or more kitchen components in a slide-out. Generally just the refrigerator, or the whole thing.

I've read about issues with refrigerator venting in a slide, and don't want to have to add a fan. Is this common? Is there anyway to fix it besides a fan?

I'm also less than thrilled about subjecting propane hose and plumbing to the motion of moving the slide. Is this a problem waiting to happen? If so, what can be done to mitigate it?

I think the flexible lines are a non-issue. That technology is very mature. I don't know how they deal with flexible plumbing, as in drains, but can't imagine it's that challenging.

The fridge fan shouldn't be an issue either. If one is really concerned about power while boondocking, a solar powered fan is an easy solution.

That's snarky? You have pre-conceived notions of problems and right up front complain about well known solutions. That is poo-poo'ing by anyone's standard.

Interesting you responded only to me who had exactly the same answers as everyone else here. Ask your question and don't whine about answers you already know are coming upfront. THATS snarky

I was asking what the solutions ARE. They are not well known to me. If I knew about them, I would not be asking.

You are poo-poo'ing well known fixes for better known problems. The NORCOLD 1200 does have fans, but because of improper manufacturer installation and venting, a well placed fan an make the fridge run far better than the OEM fans. So why not? One well placed fan can save a thousand bux in new cooling units, not to mention replacement food and additional LP trying to make cold. Again, with all these improvements, 100ma to run a fan is chump change. So why not?

As far as LP, water, Drain, etc., there are flexible trallies that have been used in robotics assembly plants for 50 years that are now being used for those hoses and there are no more problems.

Or buy a fixed kitchen

I wasn't poo-pooing anything. No need to be snarky.

I was simply asking a question. I've never been in a trailer with those components, had no way of knowing if there are good solutions in place, or if they are trouble spots.

I prefer to not have the large four door frig in the slide do to the weight.

Refer, stove and microwave in the slide. Not one problem, unless you count the flexible gas and electric support needing replaced.

Have had 4 different trailers over the past 20 years with stove and fridge within a slide with absolutely no problems.

Eight years and no problems except fan failure once. Easy fix. And they DO NOT draw much current.

There are propane powered buses with propane lines. Present day plastic plumbing is robust and we have not had one issue.

If you like the floor plan, and the wife really likes it, buy it.

Again, it's no problem.

I have the same issue, we are looking at purchasing very soon and one of the TT we like is a Coachmen Apex 288BHS Summit and it has the oven/range and sink in the slide, I really like the size, weight and the wife likes the layout but our concern is the movement of gas and water lines. Is this a major turn and run or something that we shouldn't be turned away by?
