Seat cushions at dinette flimsy

We have a 22' 2014 TT by Keystone. On a recent 3 week trip the cushions did not provide ANY comfort while sitting at the dinette and in a small trailer we have no other options. Does anyone know where we can buy raw foam/gel that we can cut to size to replace our cushions?

Thanks for all the interesting ideas - I hate my dinette cusions as well.

I replaced the dinette cushions in our last TT. I took one set of the old ones to a local upholstery shop, and they used that as a guide to cut new foam. They had a great selection of fabric too!

We took the cushions from our trailer after 1 month to an upholstery shope and had new foam for the dinette seat. It didn't cost much and made a huge difference. The shop cut and put the foam into the coves.
Interesting, the lady sprayed the foam with silicone to make it easier to get the foam into the cushions - neat tip.

My solution was to slip flat gardening kneeling pads into the cushions under the original foam. The original foam provides the initial comfort while the denser kneeling foam prevents my tush from feeling the plywood. Inexpensive, too.

I also used the Foam Factory. I ordered the 4"Lux Foam - High Quality but it looks like the H36 would be almost identical. I didn't tell the wife, I just replaced the foam. The next trip out she no sooner sat down and couldn't get over the improvement it made. Worth every penny. Let your new foam sit for a day before you try to re-stuff your cushions.

I just replaced the foam with the H36 long life foam. The OEM foam was 5-1/2.I replaced it with 5" foam with dacron pad. It cost $116.00. There was a big improvment in comfort. The new foam is 100% heavier. I used the Foam Factory.

I agree! After about 10 seconds, it's just like sitting on the plywood alone. I've been meaning to look into this too.

You can try Joann Fabrics if they are near you. They sell several different density foams by the linear foot. You can also buy a memory foam mattress topper at Walmart and cut/layer to fit inside your existing seat covers.

You might consider a mattress pad at Walmart and cut to size to place under the cushions thus keeping your current upholstery and much cheaper .

Most upholstery shops will have foam or can order it plus they can cut it to size.

Yes you can buy the foam. Near us in Ontario there are a few shops that sell it but that doesn't help you right now.

Check with a fabric shop or upholstery refinishing. They should be able to point you in the right direction. We bought some at a fabric shoppe. I am sure we saw some in the US in a hobby/ material/ craft shop. It was a chain store, can't remember the name but we have seen a few of them.
