to Ruth and said you drive..

I loaded up everything. feed, hay bales, tack, horses for the test drive. Ruth drove because she is going to have to do it solo to championships because I am stuck at work and she has to be happy with the ride.

I would have liked to have had the air bags installed to raise the back end a few inches but the tech blew out his back on a 5th wheel hitch.

So with a superhitch and just upper and lower stable loads in place (otherwise the truck is stock) off we went. Ruth loved the way the truck handled, Surface streets, boulevards and freeways. I just chilled riding shotgun, feeling the ride, and keeping my mouth shut unless she asked me a truck question of which there were only one or two. Success.

Airbags will go in after Championships in a week or so.

Well We have success. The ladies had an uneventfull tow over some of the worst Freways in Ca. I580 from Dublin to Tracy is pothole hell over the Altamont Pass with broken slabs and steep grades, The constuction zones on I5 in Stockton and on 99 near Lodi finishing with high crown 2 lane Rural roads in Wilton South of Sacramento. Ruth said that the rig handled like a dream through it all. I get to drive it on the flip side on Sunday (I head up on Thursday night in her car)

Didn't you mean after she wins the championship in a week or so?

never go in thinking it will be a cakewalk and that you will win. Go in with the attitude that its going to take your best ride to even be competitive. And yes more often than not she has won but not always and 3 of the four top ranked horse and rider combos in the country will be competing in her class. She is currently ranked 3rd in the US
