Support while wheels are off

I need to take the wheels in to have new tires intalled. I am trying to figure a way to support the trailer with all 4 wheels off. I would like to make it in 1 trip, that is why I want to do all 4 at once. I don't want to use the stab jacks to support it without the wheels. Any suggeztions on how best to support the trailer while all 4 wheels are off?

I put concrete blocks under the frame with 2x12's stacked on top, use floor jack close to spring shackles to raise each wheel then put 4x4 or 6x6 blocks under shackles so I can service wheel bearings at the same time...yes...it's a pain in the butt. Thank goodness it only needs done every other year.

I did that a couple times and made two trips. PITN.

Take the trailer down and just get it done. Four floor jacks and the new tires are on in a few minutes. Make sure they hand torque the lugs.

I have used stand jacks and/or concrete blocks on my 25 ft. TT.

Since I am on sand ground, I put 2x12s on the ground and 1x6s between the frame and the blocks next to the wheels.

It is a lot easier to do one side at a time. It is even easier to drop the TT off at the tire shop and let them do it.

Good luck

I did this. Put six axle stands under the frame around the suspension and dropped all four stabilizers down. Piece of cake.

This is just my opinion, but please do not use cement blocks to support your trailer.

X2. I once saw a cement block disintegrate while being used to prop up a car. It just fell apart for no apparent reason. Good thing nobody was under it at the time.

I would use jack stands. There are no less than 6 or 8 of them in my garage of various sizes for the job.

I took all 4 off a couple of years ago so I would only have to make one trip into the shop. I had a bunch of heavy duty patio blocks I wasn't using so I piled them up as a base and then used heavy duty jack stands for the rest of it along with the regular scissor jacks down just for added support for what they are worth. Worked well, no problems.

+10 on that. Right now I have one of my ag tractors sitting on a pair, have the rear wheels off, working on the transmission.

Unless the tires have failed...take the whole thing into the shop.

If you are blocking off 4-5 of their work bays, they will get you in and out quick.

I bought 4 Dexstar rims from Etrailer. Then I just took them in to have new tires put on. At the same time, I had them install metal stems and add tire beads. At home, I used the Trailer Aid to change each tire. Now, I have an extra set of rims for the next time.

I took the whole fiver to the tire shop, they had a parking lot adjacent to it then took off 1 tire at a time, rolled it into the place let them change it and just repeated those steps.
This would be best. This was not a option when I changed tires on the seasonal. I took two tires at a time off to have them changed. Was not cofortable having all 4 tires off at one time for stability.
