With the posts about old-timers leaving and all that, wanted to say thanks for all the info gleaned from so many posts over the last few years.

Thanks because my 2019 Ram 3500 dually Cummins is sitting at dealer in Boise for me to pick up, and my Bigfoot 10.4 camper is sitting over at Apache Camper in Portland. Plan to fly up from CA end of month and marry the truck and camper together! Retiring from work in July and will get to take off on trip after that! Just plan to fulltime until I get tired of it.

Charlie over at Apache helped send a lot of info over that the TC mfg. never seem to disclose ( like exact dimensions of battery box with/without tray, what DC converter comes with camper, etc) Would be nice if mfgs. put a little more detail in their literature.
Bigfoot was nice enough to put in a 9200 BTU air con and delete the dinette carpeting for me. (and put another fan in, but probably didn’t need that, oh well. )
So yes, all those “duplicate” posts and arguing does help!
Dave

TxGearhead, yeah, your posts a while back scarred me! I'll measure and report on fit ...

I wonder how long those fenders are supposed to last before an "oops". Flatbed in the future??
Dave

It didn't take me long to have an ooops. I was helping a friend move some lawn equipment, had my little (5' X 13') utility trailer hooked up, was backing into his driveway, following his directions, traffic was coming around a curve, he kept waving me back to get me out of the road, I jack knifed the trailer. The front corner of the trailer put a 2" cut in the fender. I have a wider trailer on order and bought a 14" hitch extension.
As far as loading the Bigfoot on the truck I just go slow slow. Once past the jacks there is room to pull forward and "square up". Just don't get in a hurry and get frustrated.
Yeah if you think about it put a dimension on here between the front jacks. I doubt it's changed much. I have maybe 3/4" clearance. Maybe. The tailgate opening is close as well. Watch that when backing in. I have a couple short pieces of 1" X 4" covered with astroturf that I slip in there.

Oh yeah. What a combination. Good call on the smaller A/C.
I'd be curious how much clearance there is between your front jacks and the Ram fenders. Mine is close close close.

Wow, Congratulations. Happy and safe travels for many years to come. We purchased a used Bigfoot last year and have really enjoyed it as I'm sure you will also.
