The nerve

I built our TT just the way we wanted it and for a purpose that we use it for. I had a commit posted on you tube about how I should have built it. I don't understand How somebody can criticize the person that has a enough experience to build this and not think it had been thought out. Any way it reminds me how many people will tell the welder how to weld when hes the guy with the welder.Any way heres the commit as posted Really

"good job i guess. well put together but why go through all that to make a cookie cutter bs travel trailer you can buy. disappointing it was not more unique. like more homey materials .? and built more self sustainable, rain catch ,solar, compost toilet ect. the way it was built limits it to lame ass rv parks for power and sewage. once again well built but the world need to be away with anything cookie cutter".

I think your trailer build was fantastic. I enjoyed the video of the entire process. As far as the Youtube clown that doesn't like it, he is entitled to his opinion. Having said that, he probably doesn't have the skill to build his own, so he would have to purchase a "cookie cutter" model. When you build your own, you know how it was built and what is inside of it. Having rebuilt an RV before, I was really disappointed in the lack of craftsmanship in the RV, and it was one of the "top of the line" models when it was built.

Having built many equipment trailers over the years, I know what hard work you put into that trailer, and I'm very impressed.

Great Job.

Awesome job renopker! I agree with the title "the nerve". Not that this commenter was well meaning but it cracks me up how generally well meaning commenters (forums, youtube, etc.) can hijack an original subject and twist it into how stupid the original poster is, and how wise the commenter is. Happens all the time. Good example of how self-centered people can be.

Your build looks extremely solid. Amazing how nicely you kept the weight down and added quality materials and craftsmanship to your trailer. You should be proud (I'm sure you are).

Well, I for one liked the music as well as the video on the rebuild. 😉 As far as the negative comment on YOUTUBE, I'd say that I would have a hard time putting stock in the opinion of an individual who feels the need to use swear words to express him/herself. Call me old-fashioned.

Based on my experience on the internet over the past 10 years or so, that would account for probably 50% of those that participate on forums, and about 90% of people in society today.

Great video! What talent and skill to be able to build such a beautiful TT and just the way you want it! Doesn't even require a "I would of". Also, the video showed me how a TT is built and put together. A plus on this one!

I think your TT looks great! Take pride in the fantastic job you did! My son is planning on building a teardrop from scratch. It's not the money, he can well afford to buy one, it's the experience and thrill of building your dream, step by step and watching it progress to the finished product. Don't know why people feel the need to mock someone's hard work.

I never criticize something I couldn't do myself and there's no way I could do that!

Great job dude.

And to that comment troll - how much money did he save? How much is his payment? Way freaking nice!

Nice job. Don't let the naysayers get to you. When you post things on you tube or are dealing with the public at large you can expect critics.
Some criticism may be valid some maybe totally off base, however you should not let it get under your skin either way.
The internet is full of morons and geniuses with keyboards and the ability to comment.

Yeah, it's the Internet, whether this forum, YouTube, or whatever. Got to expect the offhand comment.

I will say this, you could teach all those "Amish Craftsmen" in Elkhart a thing or two about workmanship!

I wouldn't attempt what you did; I'm not even up to wood butcher status with carpentry.

Damn nice job. Hope you enjoy it.

I posted a thread of a mod I'd done, some very active member here told me it looked good but he woulda done ... (whatever).
I told him he didn't get what I'd done, told him his idea was impractical and he came back calling my job a hack job, real nice.

Whatever, do your own thing, post it here or on you tube or whatever but don't worry too much if some moron doesn't think whatever you did is up to his standards, if you're going to let jokers like them bother you're better off just keeping it to yourself (IMO).

BTW, nice job, I'm sure 90% of the people on here have ideas for what THEY'D like to see in a trailer and how they'd do it, difference is you had the balls to tackle it yourself, well done. 😉
