tounge jack

I have a brand new T.T. when it was delivered to my driveway, while unhitching, the electric tounge kept stopping and would have to wait maybe 10-15 seconds to proceed to start again. The person who delivered it said this is normal? I was leveling it yesterday myself and same thing. It just seems to me you should flip a switch , move it up and down as needed and stop it when necessary. So, is this a normal thing that happens or perhaps it is faulty?

According to whom? If this is a contract driver his sole responsibility is to the company he works for ... and how do you know he didn't later file a report? Lots of assumption here, little factual knowledge. :S

According to Me. MY opinion. I didn't state any facts directly. You are assuming a contracted delivery. The dealer may not be aware of any issues until notified. I'm simply pointing out the delivery person's lack of personal responsibility by suggesting this was normal.
"Sounds" like you are making excuses for incompetence. If you are willing to settle for lousy service, then that is on you.

If this delivery was not by the dealership itself but rather a contracted delivery service (which the OP failed to detail) why would the driver have to "deal with it"? His job is merely to tow the trailer from A to B and drop it off ... any issues with the trailer itself are between the new owner and dealership from which it was purchased. :R

The driver, whether he was working directly for or contracted by the dealership, has an obligation to forward any issues to the dealership and all it would have taken is a phone call. This is simply good practice so the customer is well taken care of. Being lazy and not wanting to get involved is not acceptable. I would mention the drivers response to the dealership management.

No, it's not normal. It should run smoothly.

A quick FYI, learned the hard way....always, always carry some extra fuses for your jack. At the worst possible time, someone who is not the designated jack-operator will decide to take over your job and run it up too high or it'll bind for no apparent reason and you'll blow a fuse....literally. Know this because......

IT NEW correct?

return it for warranty replacement.... or repair....

the delivery person is a Driver.. he might have trouble changing a flat tire.
if he knew and understood electrical problems... he would be in the shop Fixing and being paid better money

My opinion. retired auto mechanic.

This isn't normal operation - take the trailer back to dealer and ask for it to be fixed or replaced so that it works normally.

On a KZ Spree you say?? We have a 2014 Spree and the tongue jack failed within days of picking up the TT at the dealer. I can't remember what brand it was but maybe it's the same junk that came on ours... IIRC, it was also overloading and wouldn't go up after a few seconds. Get the dealer to replace it. Could be a bad connection or circuit breaker but I'd say it's the jack.
