Water heater issue

DSI suburban model...Checked the breaker but not heating water on electric. Won't do anything on gas either. Won't even try to light. Any ideas?

I had another issue with the power that required I unplug the camper a couple of times as well. I cut off the gas for safety and to appease my wife. Somehow that tripped the reset. All worked fine after the power issue was resolved. Thanks everyone. Was a rough start but turned into a memorable trip with a lesson learned on the side!

IF pushing the reset buttons worked for both electric and propane one has to ask "WHY did they trip?"

Those reset buttons are for the High Temp T-stats. They only need reset when they have OPENED on high temp (170*F)

That occurs when the normal t-stat doesn't open (130*F) and stop the heating cycle.

High temp trip/reset usually means normal t-stat has failed.

Both electric & propane needing reset :H

It needs 12 vdc to heat on propane. It needs 120 vac to heat on electric.

Batteries good. Have propane. Unaware of reset so will look at that. Thanks! It's been a crazy weekend so far. Flat tire on truck, furnace came on with a/c running at 6am yesterday. Never had that happen. And Now no hot water!!! Still better than work!

Are the batteries OK-??- it needs 12 volts to run the heater.

If all fuses are ok...have you tried pushing the "Reset" buttons?
