Thanks to everyone with well wishes for my dilemma. Dealer got it all tore down (cab is 9 feet in the air!!) and diagnosed the problem. CP4 exploded taking out the injectors and filling the fuel system with metal filings. I can't believe how Ford Motor Co and Lithia Ford of Boise treated me!! So very surprised after all the horror stories of not covering these. Everything covered, no problem!! Gave me a new 4x4 F 150 loaner. So relieved.
But I would never trust that truck again. And if I lost another pump I bet it would be a real problem to get it covered again. I went back yesterday and got a '16 F250 6.2 GAS. CC, 6.5 box, FX4 loaded Lariat. Real Creampuff with 14K miles. I thought I was really going to pay for this but I was more than ecstatic with the deal.
Today I am driving a beautiful Pearl White Lariat while the old one is still in the shop with all it's guts out!!! How do you spell relief? :B

Fishy,
Was I wrong? Please show me ANY post where I was bashing?
Donโt worry, Iโll wait.
I've found that this forum is much more tolerable by blocking him. I tried for years, hoping that he would grow up and provide helpful information. I've narrowed it down to essentially two comments;
"Towing just got easier"
"My brother-in-law's cousin's fiance's sister said that Ram is bad"
My response is;
Towing has been easier for a while with the reliable Cummins and Duramax, but I'm glad that he FINALLY found a Ford that is reliable enough for him to find towing to be easier
Unfortunately I don't have a response to the extended family member's claim. All I know is that my Ram has been great, I'm seeing more and more Ram chassis light duty fire apparatus, ambulances and wreckers and less Ford chassis.
Over the years I've learned that he has nothing else to add, although you will occasionally get some variation therein.

Darn near every thread is like that.
When I'm on other sites, I'll read comments about this site and the arguing. Sad.

What was the model/trim of the blown one?
Seems you should have gotten money in your pocket for going down to a gasser.
The blown 6.7 was a plain jane xlt. I couldn't be happier with the trade deal. These guys really stepped up!!
Good to hear it was covered. Glad to hear you are happy with the trade. Was wondering, did you happen have a Titan replacement tank on the diesel?
No

Green,
I'm glad you popped in since it's obvious you new you were one of the people I was referring to. Good Job showing your colors.
Cummins,
Chill out it's nothing new for the guys who work on these trucks. Pour some DEF into your '15 truck and give us a full report. BTW... Warranty will be voided after a 30 minute inspection. It's really that simple.
If the OP truly didn't have rust or DEF crystals in his fuel system I knew it would have been covered by warranty. The procedure is not trivial.
Come on Fish, not likely any of the big three will cover putting DEF into the fuel Tank!
