What did you do to your Camper Today?

After a good washing yesterday I got up early (while the camper is in the shade and the temp has not exceeded 100--yet) to put a good coat of Meguiar's Marine/RV one step Cleaner Wax on. I'm a huge fan of Aerospace 303 and use that in-between full waxes. I think it has made a huge difference in keeping the gel coat shiny.

Here's a pic of my nose cap half waxed and half not waxed. Where its parked during non-use the Nose Cap and roof gets the most sunlight.

I was pleased with the contamination that came off the gel coat. I still have some strong bug marks but overall it looks great - all finished and polished! The decals are showing their age! In the heat of the hot summers I get small ripples at the top of the cap. Anyone seen that before?

I upgraded the kitchen sink faucet to a Delta model and replaced both drains in the sink. After 19 years, they were getting kinda sloppy looking!

not today, but last Friday I finished the job of pulling the Norcold 641.3 out of the cabinet. Removing the dead cooling unit and installing a remanufactured Amish built cooling unit reinstalling the fridge in the cabinet connecting everything cooling it down on AC then hitting the road for the weekend running on DC the spending two days on propane dry camping. The refrigerator section stayed at 35F even as the outside temps hit 100F Freezer stayed at 14F. After $100 rebate for returning the core (prepaid) my total cost was $514.00 USD. beats the snot out of buying a new fridge.

Thank you. I'm saving this one.

I did that in our 1969 Excel TT. I think we used it twice in all the years we owned it.

Though our gen does run AC, if anything else on it can bog gen so should help with that. Make unplanned repair an upgrade, hopefully

What did you end up doing??

Ordered replacement 50/5 uF start capacitor, temporarily transferred wires from old cap to new one to verify that was the problem and AC started up like new, both fan & compressor. Fixed!
So removed the tin box that holds cap & took to shop. Slight modification to it to fit new capacitor and also add a CSR U1 5-2-1 compressor saver (cap).
While the replacement start capacitor fixed the Air Conditioner, the addition of the 5-2-1 cap just amazes me. When the compressor kicks in there's virtually no loading of the generator. No real audible indication that compressor has even started, it just starts cooling. I don't have means to test load but Gen doesn't grunt for a few seconds, no loud hum from AC while compressor tries to start..
Replacement start cap $20, 5-2-1 cap $38.

That's awesome!! Glad it went well and thanks for the update.
