hey all. Im not new to camping but I am new to having a tt (always used tents or a pop up) not I have a 1991 prowler 19e. I have a daughter 15 months (still in a crib) and another due this fall. what does everyone else to with the little ones for sleeping? Last year she was young enough we slept with her. this year she will need somewhere to go (ive seen narrow play pens that will fit in the isle of the trailer that im thinking is the way to go. hopefully by next season when baby number 2 is here baby 1 will be old enough to go on a bed. I will make something work just looking for ideas. thanks all

Another vote for a Pack n Play if your kid can sleep in it. Our first was very particular where she slept and refused to sleep in the Pack n Play. She slept between us in a little foldable bassinet. The second can fall asleep over a rock lol.

packNplay is the winner. fits like a glove where the table goes. 3 seconds to put up or down and the table fits nicely under our bed when the pack and play is up. same drill for #2 next year. by then #1 will be able to go on in the bunk or with mum and ill take the bunk.

Here's an idea; little ones all over SE Asia sleep in hammocks slung low over the parents bed area. Or low over the floor. I've never seen or heard of one that fell out. The kids seem to love the hammock and sleep very well. These are not the net type but solid fabric hammocks a really easy thing to make too.

They are easy too put up and take down and dont take up floor space or the dinette, they can also be moved outside (in the right area) for a nap.

Both of our sons started out camping in our TC by sleeping in a cardboard box. We put padding in the bottom and a blanket up over the sides and placed it on the couch. We removed the table but left the post. The post keeps the box pinned between it and the back of the couch. The box sides kept the boys from rolling off the couch. Our oldest graduated to the bunk above the table and now our 2 year old sleeps in the box.

Put the baby out with the bath water, that is what the old time wisdom says.

We started when ours was 11 months, and it was pack and play in the bunk room. Now he is two and this year we have been using the things that came in the bunk room, it doubles over and makes a chair with a back, or folds out to make a mattress that is about 6 inches thick. So perfect height for him with no concerns.

We converted the dinette table from a dual pedistal mount to free standing. We move it out of the way and put our granddaughter in a Pack 'n Play in its place.

We took our first camping trip last weekend with the 17 month old twins. We ended up Putting the two pack and plays on the front futon (PO replaced the built in sofa) and secured a bungee strap just for extra insurance. It worked well enough. I had to use a beach towel under a couple of the legs to level the makeshift cribs out.

My youngest was 1 when we bought our TT. He slept in a pack and play on the dinette at night or pack and play on our bed during the day/naps.

Are kids just slept with us. We couldn't keep them in their own beds. Funny though ... our grandkids sleep with us too! ... all 4 of them! We need a bigger bed!

i pulled the dinette set out of ours last year, and replace it with some tv trays and a pack n play. works well for us. our baby is 18 mos now, and keeping him in the pack n play this season too.

very anxious to have the dinette back and out of my garage.

When our 1st DD was very young and we camped in a 22ft no slide TT she would sleep on the floor on my wife's side of the walk around bed. An old couch cushion and blankets kept her warm and as the saying goes, they can never fall off the floor.

With my kids we either out the pack and play in the dinette area or we bought a new rail and used it when we collapsed 're dinette both worked well.
