trying to figure out the route from Apache junction,AZ to Lordsburg,NM.

If I read correctly I just stay on the road called Apache trail and head East. Is this correct and are there signs telling me where to turn, dont want to get lost in no where land. Thank you

We took the US 60/70 route from Casa Grande to Lordsburg last year with our 5th wheel. Nice drive, some interesting Mormon farming towns and Indian reservation communities along the way. Not difficult except for some road construction around Globe-Miami. More scenic than I-10, IMHO.

The Apache Trail starting at Lost Dutchman State Park is an awesome, beautiful drive passing a couple lakes. Definitely drive it with your towed vehicle as a day trip.

However, don't take your RV on it. You won't like the narrowness of this gravel road. 60/70 is the route you want to take and it's also a scenic one - but paved and wide.:)

Yikes! Where did you read to take your RV on Apache Trail? In town, it's a regular street. Going east, it's as described above.

60/70 is a nice drive.

I wouldn't recommend the Apache Trail AKA SR88 unless you like white-knuckling it on a 1 lane dirt road. I would take US60 / US70 east.
