Can anyone tell me about Idaho 28 from Mud Lake to Salmon. It looks fairly straight on the map. It looks like it runs through a valley and would be a relatively easy drive. We are pulling a 36 ft fifth wheel so want to stay away from steep winding roads. As always, thanks in advance for your help.

No snow worries this year. Too warm for snow; forecast thru Memorial Day is coolish (highs in the 60s), most days with chance of rain and/or thunderstorms, for the Snake River plain.

Watch the weather. I have had heavy snow on that route as late as memorial day in past years.

Hwy 28 is a very easy road to drive. It's in a valley.

Thanks so much for your help, for whatever reason, I never think of looking on Google Maps, need to do that! Really appreciate the replies, thanks again!

I tow a 34 ft. 5'ver and use that route fairly often. Some long pulls, not too steep and one place with some curves. I really like the drive. We dry camp at Birch creek Campground about 30 miles north of Mudlake. There is good water when you come into the campground if you need fresh water.

You can look at it on Google maps.( I just did, since it looks like a lonely road, the kind I like.) It looks like all flat country.

You woldn't want to break down along the way, though.
