Love Susys or Creole Kitchen at Breaux Bridge where I ate many meals when I hauled Bulk mail from Harrisburg to LA and ended up at San Antonio TX every week. I started to get big enough I could'nt reach the steering wheel. Coldest place I ever was is corner of MN and SD -50 and wind chill -90. Talks about miserable. It's Spring in VA, 50s today Tstorms by Saturday.

Well it warmed up here quite nice. 24F which is almost short sleeve weather accept for the 18" of snow that fell here last night with 14" to 18โ€ more forecast for Sat night into Sun A.M. All this snow is piled onto of the 64" that we have had so far this season. Well northern Maine does get some snow during the cooler months. The extended forecast predicts that this coming Tuesday we have a โ€˜nor-Easter coming that could drop more double digit snow amounts. March is typically our big snow month which usually means two storms with up to 24โ€ accumulations each. The snowbanks are up over the gutters on part of our house now. Some of our windows are completely covered with snow so it is impossible to look outside. At least the 30 to 40 below zero F wind chill season is mostly past. It wonโ€™t be long now and we will be digging out the 5er.

Funny I was talking to my wife today and told her it was really warm, I then looked at the temperature and it was -11 and felt stupid.

As a thin blooded Texan, I will admit that I would not care to be in Smithers at the moment, but just seeing the name warms my heart. I had been through the beautiful little town several times without much notice, blowing up the Cassiar, but don't remember even stopping.

In 2010, an incident quite a distance from Smithers, eventually grounded me there for quite a period of time. Had plenty of time to get to know the area and meet the warm, friendly, helpful people there.

I will voluntarily return there someday to visit, but you can bet it will be in July or August.

It's spreading, LOL. Local weather man reported two locations in north central PA, with Wednesday morning temps. of -27*F and -31*F. We had nine below and haven't had this kind of weather in many years.

Minus 35 in Williams Lake this morning. ggeeeezus......couldn't even roll my power cords. Just stuffed them into the cabin and rolled the heavy black BIG power line around and around the spare mounted at the rear. Left at 6am and have hit balmy Vancouver as of late afternoon. Man, that was some cold.

I spent my afternoon pressure washing my front wall, washing off dirt from the bottom of house walls & the dog house.

Couldn't help but wonder a few times what would happen if I was operating the machine in temps that most of you all are in? Instant snow like a snow making machine? More house painting tomorrow.

Into a rellies driveway in Williams Lake for Wed night. I keep looking for pictures to take but that snow/ice smoke is just making pix taking impossible.
