I'm looking for campgrounds/resorts in North Carolina that I haven't visited to visit in 2020. What are some North Carolina campgrounds/resorts that you've visited in the past?
Would help to know what part of NC you want to visit. For the coast. there is only one oceanfront CG between the Outer Banks, and the SC line. Surf City Family CG. It is VERY nice, but VERY small. no pool or any thing, Just a beautiful quiet beach.
In the mountains there is a CG on every corner or so it seems. We like Raccoone Holler in Glendale Springs, and Orchard Lake near Saluda. Happy holiday in Cherokee is nice, and Holly cove, but only if you are staying a week or more.
We also go to Tom Johnson's campground in Marion for a quick get away, and up the road a little there is the Ashville East KOA. And near Spruce Pines there is Tow River CG, Buck Hill, And Mountain River.
We also like Bandit's Roost in Wilkesboro, as well as Linville Falls CG, and Julian Price, both on the Blue Ridge Park Way.
flintlock near Boone is OK, and Honey Bear, but you have to be careful to pick the right site. hope this helps.
