Looking for good, clean, safe camping recommendations with full TT hookups in the Sedona/Cottonwood Area. Doesn’t need to be “fancy”, just “good, clean, safe” with hookups. Spring or Autumn.

When we visit Sedona we stay at Lo Lo Mai Campground in nearby Cornville. The sites are mostly back-ins but it's a nice little park in the woods with Oak Creek running next to the property.

While in the area we drove thru Dead Horse Ranch. Nice, clean camp grounds. There are two areas. Northeast Loop had nice wide spots, easy to get big rigs in most. It is more open but has fewer trees. Quail Loop had more shade but many of the spots were small and cramped. If we ever stay at Dead Horse we'd opt for the Northeast loop section.

2X or 3X on Dead Horse Ranch State Park, although they have water & electric sites - no sewer.

X2 One of our favorite campgrounds with great hiking, fishing and even horseback riding right in the campground. The little town of Cottonwood just outside the CG is a hoot. Just up the hill the town of Jerome is a must visit {just not in a motorhome}. If you go, Haunted Hamburger at the top of a very vertical little town is a great spot for lunch with incredible views.

Verde Ranch RV in Camp Verde is very nice. Excellent club house, nice wide spots. Lots of pull thrus. Don't confuse this with the nearby Verde Valley RV.

Distant Drums is very nice but some spots are difficult to back into.

Rain Spirit RV resort in Clarkdale is small but very nice. Wide spots easy to back into.

Rancho Sedona RV Park is the only park actually IN Sedona. It is nicely treed and by the creek, though rather expensive. There are many other choices in the Verde Valley (which includes several towns...Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Cornville, Page Springs, McGuireville, Jerome...)

The State Park mentioned above is a great choice in Cottonwood.

Verde Ranch RV Resort is very new. It and Distant Drums are right by I-17. There is a casino across the freeway from Distant Drums. Rain Spirit RV Resort is also quite new. It has nice surrounding views as shown on one of their photos.

Be sure to map the parks so you know the location compared to Sedona and Cottonwood. Some are 20-30 minutes away.

All these years I have been reading this blog I have never even noticed that feature. Thank you for pointing me to it. It looks like a great resource. Wow.
