X whatever on River Plantation. Decent price. Nothing special like so many CGs similar to it.

Take a look at Creekside RV Park. Close to everything and backs up to a creek. Easy access and convenient.

Riverbend Campground;
http://www.riverbendcampground.com/

Our site backed up to a nice river, paved pad, 30/50 amp, free WIFI that worked fairly well, short walk to the trolley system. There were several entertainment venues and restaurants within a few blocks from the campground yet the campground was nice and quiet. Only $35 per night.

We just returned from Anchor Down. We are going back in October also. It is close enough to P.Forge and Gatlinburg for quick trips. You can cut travel time down by using Douglas Dam road.

We are fortunate and have travelled around quite a bit and Anchor Down is probably the best all around cg we have ever stayed at.

Just my honest opinion.

We have been staying at Rivers Edge for the last 14 years, Clean park, spots are a little tight but for us worth it.

Yes -- there are lots of options for CG's around PForge. Other than 50amp do you have any preferences? Do you have kids? Want a pool? Arcade? CG's are a little like antiques -- one man's treasure is another man's trash.
We have decided that Up the Creek in PForge is our 1st choice. Outside of town but still convenient. Big sites, great owners, cable TV & Wifi but no bath houses, pools or store on site. Easy to Townsend and if you know the back roads easy to most areas of PForge.

Are you members of PA or C2C? There are so many choices for campgrounds in the area that you can be in the thick of things or be out of town some away from the crazy. In town another option is Bear Cove Tesort. Just down the road from Dollywood.

I think we have stayed at most of them over the years. Anchor Down is very nice but I hate the traffic trying to get back and forth to PF and the attractions. It can be horrible. Stayed at River Plantation several times and like it also but traffic can be bad also. Pine Mountain has everything you need and is right in the middle of it all with no traffic problems.

We just made reservations for Anchor Down for 10 days Oct. 20-30. It looks really nice. You might give their website a look and read reviews on rvparkreviews.
