Can Not Wait!

Yesterday, my bride and I went for a ride--we stopped by the range to try out a new gun I bought- A Smith & Wesson 9mm EZ. Sweet firearm!
But the real reason we ventured out was to check out a couple campgrounds in Montana. One was a forest service CG that was still closed. The other was a minimally improved cg right along a river with about 12 sites and a pit toilet. The last place was just about filled with peaceful campers enjoying the sun and views.
We can't wait to get out, set up, and fill our memory banks!!
Be well, stay safe, and we'll be out of this dilemma soon. See ya out there.

You northern folks are just starting your camping and we here in the southern AZ are about done camping due to the coming triple-digit heat. Supposed to be high 90's this weekend.

We stayed at the Hemlocks last year when we were up there. Rather quirky cg with a very pricey restaurant attached. The sites are crammed in between trees wherever they could find enough room. Free firewood tho.

Off topic, sort of---The S&W shoots way better then I do. Nice firearm. Yesterday, we had to get out of the house, so we took a ride up hwy 95 from Coeur d Alene past Bonners Ferry, ID. There were a couple campgrounds up there to check out for future outings.
We noticed that once we left Bonners Ferry, the only vehicles on the highway were semi trucks. No cars at all. Eerie.
Kind of lonely.....

Congratulations! Nothing like a โ€œnewโ€ firearm, to put a smile on your face and optimism in your heart! Iโ€™m a big fan of handguns with โ€œgrip safetiesโ€! Obviously everything should be done to keep a handgun away small children. But, if a small child โ€œshouldโ€ get the handgun ....the child likely can not manipulate the grip safety and the trigger simultaneously! memtb

Boise is more like southern Idaho, Bonner's Ferry is Northern Idaho but even there it's not bad 61 deg

Think we made a cool 68* today. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mid 50s and possible rain but still darn nice.

They kept the gun stores open here but closed the gun ranges - go figure.

I got a great plinking pistol the SW Victory, my DW can actually get 3 or 4 hits on the target with it at ten yards...heh. I just got the Talon grips on it, that was a shock, they are like sandpaper. I haven't been out to try those yet.

And on topic, isn't it snowing in Montana still? I just looked at Rapid City weather and it's snow and freezing rain there.
