Can anyone who stayed here tell us about the park.

How small or large are the sights?
Is there a place to walk your dog?
Is it worth staying here or is there another place on the strip or really close to it?

If you stayed there would you stay there again?

They have a like that shows the spaces, looks like a good mid week rate starting at $36. We stayed there in the late 90s and it was ok. Dick

The location is good and that is cheaper than under KOA. Not a real special place otherwise. Good for a stop though.

You would think in Las Vegas there would be one RV park that is really special-really out there. Oasis is nice-especially pool area-but it isn't off the chart. I'm not permitted in the motorcoach resorts-perhaps they are.

I was under the impression that Circus Circus KOA closed down to turn the area into another attraction. KOA took over at Sam's Town and the feedback since then over there hasn't been good for the most part with lots of complaints. Heard that the development at Circus Circus has been put on hold and that they have started the RV's again on a smaller scale. Personally we stay for 2 or 3 nights FREE at the back of the Bally and Paris hotels no problems ever. If we are making a week+ vacation time out of being in Vegas then we stay south on the strip at the Oasis Las Vegas (quite expensive today we feel unless you use PPA). They have a shuttle to the strip although we love to walk anyway.

I'd check direct by calling Circus circus if they are still accepting RV's with all the changes occurring.

FTW.

We prefer Las Vegas RV Resort on Nellis Blvd north of Sam's Town. Read reviews of Circus Circus, Sam's Town KOA and Las Vegas RV Resort to compare the 3.

And if you stay at Sam's Town, make them tell you WHERE they're putting you when you sign up. LOL They put us up on the corner of Boulder Hwy and the cross street. We had an old rig then and, holy moly, it was LOUD! We left after 1 night.

The former Circus K O A is now run by the casino and is about 1/3rd as large as before. The franchise is now at Sam's Town over on Boulder Highway. If you want The Strip and many world class casinos stay at Circus. If you want a campground next to a small casino miles away from the real Strip action stay at Sam's Town.

I understand they are still open. It is a large parking lot with hookups. It can fit any size rig. Very little shade. Very nice dog runs covered with pea gravel or is it "pee" gravel. Not the type of park where people get out and cook or visit.

We stayed there in '05. It was OK, but all we really did was sleep. As said, a parking lot with hookups. What we didn't like was that the main gate was not guarded and was left open 24/7. Anyone could wander in and walk around.

More on Circus Circus KOA being closed.

It looks like Sam's Town is now a KOA. Looks to the same type of setup, a parking lot with hookups. Hopefully they have better security.

Circus Circus still advertises an RV park on their web site. It certainly doesn't hurt to call and ask. The one thing we really liked was being right on the strip and walking out to the front to easy access to buses and cabs.

They had great dog runs, but I understand that the park is no longer there. I believe that it has been replaced by a park a few miles south of the main strip.

We have stayed there twice now but it seems to me it is no longer a KOA and I think there is no longer camping there. When we did stay ,it was kinda pricey for a blacktop lot with hookups and the hot tub was not functioning when we were there. Maybe somebody who has been there recently can verify.
