We are headed to Elkhart this summer and are planning on going to the swap meet in Shipshewana. I think we are staying at the South side camp grounds for part of the time. We know there are other things to do in the area. Idea's , camp grounds? open for suggestions
Thanks, we have been to the Lancaster Pa area and enjoyed the Amish attractions. We just upgraded to a Grand Design and would like to tour there if possible. Just wondered if we should stay there the whole time or move around? Has anyone stayed at the South Side RV. Park?
Das Dutchman Essenhaus Amish Style Restaurant in Middlebury has a Cruise-In every Thursday night with hundreds of nice cars attending, if you are into old cars.

Take a tour of one of the RV manufacturers. Drive on the back roads and visit the Amish that have baskets, clocks, furniture, etc for sale from their homes. Much better than the stores.

We stayed at the Elhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen. Suited our purposes for reasonable price. We liked Das Dutchman Essenhaus Amish Style Restaurant in Middlebury. They have a bakery and shops adjacent.

lots to do in Shipshewana, just remember it's closed on Sunday's. if you like to bike the Pumpkin Vine trail is close by. there is the RVMH Hall of Fame and the train museum in Elkhart. for a great dinner try Iechyd Da in Elkhart for great micro beer and pizza. depending on when your here there are First Friday's in Goshen. let me know if you need more.
We did the RV Hall of Fame/Museum and it was a hoot! Bring your camera and $10 a head to get in and $8 for us old folks. Allow at least an hour and if there is anythingyou would like to research their RV library is amazing. :B
