My favorite camping spot is just a short walk away from my favorite fishing spot.

Good luck getting anything more specific from me...

Sam's Family Spa Resort in Desert Hot Springs is always on my mind when it's winter and I need a break from the rain and cold. Their hot mineral pools are awesome.

Pipestem Resort State Park in West Virginia has almost everything you could want. Sites with full hookups, golf, mini gold, horseback riding, archery, nature walks, indoor and outdoor pools, 2 restaurants, cabins, lodges etc. We also enjoyed Buck Creek Lake State Park in Ohio has sites with electric, a nice lake with swimming beaches, nice camp store, laundry etc. Lot's of room between sites. Sherando Lake and Goose Point in Virginia are very nice. Both have electric hookups, a lake with swimming beach. Some of the sites at Goose Point are right on the water. We also loved Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina. Most sites have water and electric but they also have some full hookup sites. It is a short walk to the beach and they have a great nature program. Atallya, the house where the Huntington's lived is open for tours and you are close to Murrels Inlet where there are some very good restaurants like Drunken Jacks.

I prefer to avoid campgrounds whenever possible. I have neighbors at home - I don't want neighbors when I take my family camping or go hunting.

I cant say i have an absolute favorite but Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas is pretty high on my list

We stopped there for about 4 nights 2 years ago and loved it. Arkansas in general is a great time, lots do see and do. Love the Ozarks.

But a favorite CG? I don't think I have one in particular. We've camped in 38 states and a few provinces, and it's hard to decide on what was the best. If you held a gun to my head, I'd probably say Glacier CG in Montana, or Lamb's Resort, Schroeder Minnesota.

My favorite campground is........WALMART!

Some truth to that one. Reasonable rates, provided you do not take a cart inside. Large easy in easy out sites. Always activities. Sights that cannot be seen anywhere else. Some that should not be seen at all.

I have NEVER camped at Walmart without it costing $$$$$. . . . :? That is not Reasonable.
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

Which ferry do you use to bring your rig over to the island?:B
How many horse power does it take to navigate on Mackinac Island? Backing into the site must be a real nag.

Us too. In fact, we're pulling out around 9:00am this Friday. Should be at the Fort around noon Saturday. :B
