The Southeasstern Wildlife Exposition will be going on Feb. 14-16th if that is the weekend you will be there. Lots of exhibits, arts, crafts (as in custom knives, furniture etc), dock dogs, etc. Google SEWE. Prices for tickets very reasonable.

Oh, my- If you are into WW2 history, The Mighty Eighth Army Air Force Museum in Pooler, just off I-95 just outside Savannah (you can see it from Interstate)- great place with restaurant inside-( my dad was in 8th during WW2.) Has inside and outside exhibits, etc.

Don't miss the SC State Aquarium and the H. L. Hunley Museum. Fascinating.

Fort Sumter & Patriots Park.

Also the open-air market in downtown Charleston.

Stay at James Island County Park.

If you don't have a place to stay yet we highly recommend Oceanside RV Park.

Charleston - Coos Bay, OR.

Enjoy....

Go on a walking tour of the downtown area. Very walkable city. Really neat to see all of the old houses and their courtyards. Be sure and walk to The Battery area. The plantations are nice. We went to Middleton and Magnolia Plantation. Both were nice, but Magnolia also has a nature (swamp) walk with lots of birds and wildlife.

History, nature/birds, micro breweries and good food.

History: everywhere
nature/birds: all over; favorite spot for birding is the end of Pitt St in the suburb of Mount Pleasant, the remnants of an old bridge that went to Sullivans Island juts out into the sound and is a great place for water birds.
micro breweries: can't help, but this is a serious drinking city.
good food: you've come to the right place.

We stay at James Island County Park AT LEAST once a year, and have never run out of things to do or see.

Regards,
Doug

They have a market in Charleston that sells all kinds of neat stuff in old brick buildings that are right next to each other.

Nearly every street in Charleston is history filled, from the Battery, to Rainbow Way.
One of the best ways to learn about Charleston, Is to go on a Ghost Walk, If it is not too cold. You will want to go out to Fort Sumter, and Patriots Point is a must see. We also really liked Boone Hall Plantation.
DW just likes to walk around. It is a great place to learn real history..
