Home Today

After 6 months and 3 days on the road, logging over 7000 miles and staying in 16 states, we are headed home today. Hulk sad, but we know there will another Big Adventure.

  • Glad to hear you had a safe trip. As far as mileage goes we only go from Michigan to Ft. Myers in Feb & March and put on 5900 miles.

    It adds up fast.
    Happy trails,

Well JW got me to the next thing I needed to do which was debrief the trip. I'll add that soon, but to address your point, we rented a car when we needed it instead of towing a car. Neither of our cars could be towed 4 down, so we would have needed to buy something before leaving on the trip. We stayed longer when we had a car, although we did try to stretch a no-rental stop to 2 weeks. We also found that we were picking places to stay based on their proximity to an Enterprise location, which is a poor criteria. It did work out for the most part, but at least I'm convinced that towing is the way to go. Now I just have to convince the DW.

Makes me think that my first adventure will be in a short Class C that can often be used as an around town vehicle. Love the space of a Class A but don't really care to drive one. Just me and the dogs :(

  • Home is always nice to return to. Be safe and start planning your next adventure.

WOW! That sure was one active Snowbird season. Nice map too. :C
  • Welcome home: We did one similar only in 4 months. We found out that we are not big fans of moving every few days. We loved visiting the different parts of our wonderful country but I find spending the same amount of time in one place that is warm and I can play golf is more to my liking. Enjoy your summer on the Cape.
