Hi,
We are looking for a nice, safe RV park in Las Vegas in July, I know it will be hot.
We want to be in the area, because we will be visiting with friends who live in Henderson, so if you know of any great places please let us know.

Thanks
Ted and Claire

TC285, if you are an Elks Lodge member, the Boulder City lodge has a nice RV park, easy in to Henderson.

Oasis X XXXX. It's a great RV park and easy access to Las Vegas Blvd.

The closest full hook up park is Duck Creek RV park on Boulder Hwy. It is between Gibson and Russel. Relatively close to Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes and almost every other store type you can think of. It is a Passport America park. It's a parking lot with some landscaping and tight spaces. Very clean and well maintained, has a pool and is next to a park.

Home is where we park it.

Our favorite is Oasis RV Resort. Excellent electric so fear of brown-out is not an issue. Great pool, nice grounds, good pet runs. You can go straight up Silverado to get to Henderson. Sam's Casino has a nice RV park, but it is more of a full hookup parking lot. They have a small pool, and the Casino amenities are about 100 yards away. Yes, it will be hot. I suggest getting reflective window shades (like the folding type for windshields) and plan of placing them on all windows. Also you can cut some foam to press into the ceiling fan vents. If you have an RV frig, don't plan on keeping ice cream in the rig. We have kids in Henderson and make that summer trip regularly.
Enjoy.

Lake Meade RV Village is close to Henderson. They have beautiful lake view sites, and it might be a little cooler ( not much ), than Vegas, but the area is much nicer than you will find in town.
Second option would be Clark County Shooting Complex.

As far as Las Vegas in July "hot" doesn't quite cover it. It will likely be something north of 110 and could be significantly higher. Expect your RV to get down no lower than 90 if you are lucky. We live just outside of Tucson so we're familiar with "hot".

Hopefully your frig is on the same side as your awning and the winds are low enough to deploy it {not always the case}. Try and get a site with some sort of shade that might be available but there's not much to be found in most of the LV parks. Won a contest once and scored 3 free July days in Vegas... second prize was ten days. :B

Check out LV Motorcoach resort. It's one of the nicest places we have stayed. Very secure, just a bit off the southern end of the strip. Most of the lots have super nice amenities, ours had a built in grill, surface cooker, gas fireplace, 2 sinks and a 8 or so seats at the outdoor bar. Lots are individually owned , so what you get is not known until you arrive, but all are very nice. I think there were 4 pools on the property so it was a short walk to the nearest pool.
We were there last July.

Last year, we stayed at the Clark County Shooting facility. It's on a small hillside which affords nice views of the city. It's $20 per night (last year's prices), and includes full hookups including 50amp service. When were there last year, there were only four RVs in the 80 available spaces. You are actually quite a way from the rifle and pistol ranges, and noise was not an issue. Here's a link to the site where you can read about it and make reservations.
