A max of $3-400 a month could complicate things. Wisconsin and upper Michigan is basically a vacation mecca during the summer.

Pull up RVPARKREVIEWS.com and pick out some of the towns in northern Wisconsin or northern Minnesota. Then call a few of the parks near them and ask about monthly rates.

I've wandered Wisc and the Mich UP the last 2 years and never had a problem finding a good place to stay for 1 or 2 weeks. But maybe not at the rates you're looking for.

One thing - I can tell you that some of the owners are snowbirds too and are in Texas/Florida/Arizona right now, so you may not get an answer.

What kind of fishing?

There are so many different places to go in WI depending on what you prefer.

I'll have some suggestions being a WI born and raised....and a fisherman and camprer.

Just wet a line from time to time. Im not a big time fisherman. Just something to do.

Could it be a big lake? ๐Ÿ™‚ Lake Huron?

The western side of Michigan is packed in summer but not so on the eastern side. Try around Cheboygan or Rogers City. If Cheboygan you could do some nice day trips to Mackinac Island via the ferry and over the west side on Lake Michigan between Mackinaw City and Petoskey.... beautiful country.

I think you'd really like that whole area. Lots of neat little towns to explore and a relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps even moving around to 2 or 3 different places in that area. You won't be disappointed!

Another place to try for a reservation is Holiday Park at Traverse City, Michigan. You would then be close to tour Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore and that whole peninsula is absolutely gorgeous. If you want a little more upscale try for a park around Empire, MI such as Indigo Bluffs. There are many park in that whole area. Use RVParkReviews.com to search some towns.

I find it hard to believe that 'everything' is filled for next summer. We're from Michigan and have gotten a spot without a reservation during the summer. Of course, it wasn't the grandest 'resort' and not the prime location but there are many nice places not in those categories. Keep trying and perhaps lower your expectations. ๐Ÿ™‚

For Michigan, what area/town would you like to stay?

I would roam the state for awhile ...there are so many options it will overwhelm you. Be sure to check out the state park system. MN/WI are great states but especially May-Oct.

Door County has 3 inland lakes that are popular fishing holes. Kangaroo Lake, Clark Lake, & Europe Lake. It's also not far from Brown County and Kewaunee County with lots more choices.

Lots to see and do in Door County. We camp at Egg Harbor Campground two to three times a season. Beautiful RV park with seasonal sites available. Mike and Deb the owners are wonderful hosts.

If you want fishing look in the Minocqua area like someone else mentioned, there is a lake just about in any direction. The town itself can get busy but once you get away from the city its not bad. Door county is nice also but you would be fishing on the bay or Lake Michigan.

Circle R in OSHKOSH, also Kalbus County Harbor RV park right on Lake Winnebago. That lake is huge, and lots of fishing opportunities.
